Automotive Diversity Might as well invest into a ceramic solution, might cost a lot but in the long run it’ll pay dividends and keep your car from getting as dusty as it would with a wax or sealant alternative whether it be an si02 or a simple carnuba based wax that have a less protective barrier. I just coated the paint and wheels of my dad’s model 3 with a few coats of micro detailer intensity-7 and it makes a world of difference when it comes to minor contaminants as nearly all of them are sprayed off just with a pressure rinse, making maintenance unbelievably simple

Noticed that many cleaning and detailing videos are parked on block paving. 2 problems; If care not taken when jet wash used or even high pressure hose, the kiln dried sand between blocks can be blown up onto paintwork, also sand is then washed away from black paving. Suggest park on large tarpaulin to prevent this. What are your thoughts on this?

Great video again Joe. I have a professional window cleaning business so after I've cleaned any of my vehicle's it could be the cars the motorbikes or work vans... I actually rinse off with our ultra pure water which you don't need to blow-dry off it just dries on its own without any water marks... pretty much unless some water has dropped out of a seal somewhere that's been overlooked but that's not very often..😂😂

Very useful and appropriate as I am in the process of detailing my black car. I don’t have all the tools and experience of the Guru but here is my routine. 1. Good wash with snow foam etc 2. Clay the body work and wiping each panel as I go with a damp micro fibre (I always use microfibre to dry but always a wet towel never dry). 3. I use a mild cutting polish with my rotary polisher wiping each area with a clean micro fibre. This helps to remove the swirl marks - take your time they will go. I use Poorboys swirl remover but have also used Autoglym Super Resin polish which was more than capable. 4. I then put a coat of Autoglym extra gloss protection on to enhance the polish work. 5. Finally a coat of Carnuba wax to protect the sealant. The results are amazing. I repeat stage 5 roughly every 6 weeks. The whole process takes time but if you are able to follow my plan it helps greatly. Hope this is of use. Thanks for all the advice from the Guru 👍

Nice vid, easy to watch. Had three dark grey cars previous to my black Focus. I love black cars when detailed well. I take about 10-12 hours over 2 days twice a year (spring and autumn) doing an in depth detail. Then wash every week or two which takes an hour or so, weather permitting. I use a lot of Chemical Guys products (VSS, V38 and pads) and especially like their Blacklight glaze and sealant, teamed up with 2 coats of their Pete's 53 wax. I also use Gyeon Wet Coat every 2 months or so for added water repellency. I've seen a few items in your list I like, so it looks like a trip to Amazon etc. Cheers

I just found out about this channel via a recommendation from Roger Bailey two days ago. The first video that shows up on my home page is about detailing black cars. How does KZread know?? I drive a 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD. It's a crew-cab with an eight foot box and a mid-height ( 5 foot/ 1.5m) Mory Master cap. It is just over 22ft/ 6.7m long, 8ft/ 2.4m high and 6.5ft/2m wide and ALL black! The tips in this video will definitely be tried the next time I wash it which will be tomorrow by the looks of the weather forecast. The only problem I see is that it is going to take at least a couple more hours than I usually take to wash all 35 acres of paint. I'll have to throw some more beer in the fridge tonight so they're nice and cold tomorrow. It's going to be a long day. LOL

Good work, think the weather tip is so important, remember trying to wash my car in the sun and it was drying out before I had a chance to clean it properly.

Just used Autoglym bumper and trim gel on my outside trim. WOW, it took them from Gray to Black very well. Also, it has been 2 days and still jet black! Made the colour, green, on the car stand out more!

Interesting video guru! I've used similar coloured waxes to this in the past and my take on them is that they're only really worth getting if you only plan on either keeping or getting exclusively black (in this example) cars for the foreseeable. Personally, I have always had good results on black paint with Autoglym Super Resin Polish or Megs Ultimate Compound (if more correction is needed). Both of these are about the same price as this turtle wax and I know that the results will be consistent regardless of what colour cars I buy in the future, rather than only being applicable to a certain colour. Just my opinion though!

Great vids as usual and really helpful. I want out and got myself some Magifoam prompted by your vids and im sorry to say I've has a terrible experience with it. Decided to try it on my not very dirty white pride and joy to shift 3 weeks (~500 miles) of the motorway flies. Unusually for me it was otherwise pretty clean. Unfortunetly after following the instructions perfectly, not letting it dwell too long and washing it off i was left with little stains (like coloured water stains) all over the top surfaces. They were really nasty and woud not shift with a cloth or mitt. Fearing they were going to stain i managed to get most of them off with some agressive products i had to hand. Some still remain and I'm having to call the detailer round to correct the paint :.( Autodirect didnt help at all, just said that even though another customer had a similar problem (blamed it on a neighbours bonfire?) it certainly cant have been the foam so... bye. My car certainly hadnt been anywhere contanimated. Even if it had, do you really want to risk using a product that might damage the paint on what appears to be an uncontiminated car?? Think I'll stick to water and 2 buckets or bigger brand products in future.

Excellent video as usual. After watching realised black cars are not worth the hassle. Especially here in QLD Australia. I will stick with white or silver. The ceramic wax look interesting. I will have a go at that thanks to you. Thankyou.

I like that the car has got swirl marks and and imperfections in the paint work and clear coat. Now I can go and apply this caretaking to my own and have a good time.

Another great video with excellent narration. The tip about filtered water. It needs to be a zero parts per million filter and then you don't even need to dry the car just ensure the car is rinsed and whenit dried it looks like it's had a wax or a polish especially in hot weather a zero ppm filter can make a huge difference. Also I'd suggest getting a water ppm meter you can get them cheep enough on eBay or Amazon and they confirm the hardness or softness of the water by telling you how many parts per million is in the water. Zero completely pure water is just perfect as it leave no residue what so ever.
