We are always very gladly coming back to this magical place called Kandersteg, exploring the beauty of this region.. it offers so much, not everything you can find on the "hiking brochure map" down on the station, but the lake Oeschinen is simple one of the most beuatiful mountain lake here in Switzerland.
This time we did the hike from the Station Oeschinen, up to the Blüemlisalp hut 2840m (in about 3 hours we there). Did a little explore tour on the Blüemlisalp glacier. Then we've just enjoyed the rest of the day near the hut, waited for the beautiful sunset above the Blüemlisalp hut. With those clouds below us, we had a nice view at the sunset and it was a really strong experience..
Early in the morning we headed direction Wildi Frau, but only the hiking summit which is 3218m high. It took us less then 1hour to the top, it is partly marked alpine hiking route, mostly marked with "Steinmänner". But it is not difficult at all, we did it in the dark, without any problems of finding the route.. We have hoped for amazing sunrise at the top, but there were low could behing Gspaltenhorn.. and they were blocking the view.. But in the end, very good tour.. it was again only two of US and the silence of the mountains.. Alpine Pure.
Then we were heading back to Oeschinen Station, via Heuberg Panorama Trail, high above Lake Oeschinen, those views gets us every time.
