There's been some pretty extreme destruction testing of knives on KZread over the years, but my man here has raised the bar to its highest level! Few people would be even physically capable of destroying a knife with these methods lol. Good on him. The man every knife maker fears

While it did not crumble like my Kubey Sicario I tested yesterday I would have expected more from the BK2. I know that such testing does not tell us everything about the quality of a knife but to me the sheer structural strenght is important. You are one of the very few people who does extreme testing, thank you for your sacrifice!

Bro, be careful when stepping on a knife too high above the ground (5:30). Do it very close to the ground because in case of a break, at worst, you get a cut in your calf. If it breaks from a high place, you may cut your inner thigh and get to the arteries. We only have you to test all of this expensive knives ^_^.

If anyone beats and tortures any kind of knife like this eventually they all will break. Some breaks faster and some last little longer. If you take 10 Ka-Bar BK2 for example and do the same test 10 times maybe 6 will last longer and the other no so much. Because the way it was made and heat treated. If people use any of these knives that Joex test and use it normal and take care of their knives the way the should they will all last a very long time. Remember he Extreme tortures these knives. Everyday normal use from people will never torture a knife like he does here and there fore last them years and years of use. Keep up the good videos Joex

I can't remember if I commented on this video. got my Bk-2 in a private sale for 30 Aussie Dollars (15 Euro?). The previous owner had beaten it with a hammer, and from the look of the edge, found Deer antler to chop up. I restored it, then used a hammer on it myself to baton, just for fun. They are solid chunks of steel. Mine has the canvas type MOLLE sheath.

There is little to nothing on youtube about them yet they are manufactured through Bark River which are known for making beasts of burden. Also have you done one with the Kabar D2 utility version? I think I speak for many here in saying that we'd LOVE to see how well a San Mai III SRK, San Mai III Recon Tanto, and laminated Fallkniven A1 would hold up in your tests. My prediction is that a very small part of the tip would break off the SRK and Fallkniven A1 and the blade might chip in some areas, but the overall blades would be indestructible. The Cold Steel San Mai III Recon Tanto would be most interesting due to the really thick tip. Thanks!

7:05 So while I can understand wanting to test steel with edge on edge impacts between different knives, it's actually not particularly useful. The behavior of steel cutting other steel is very predictable and generally you're only going to determine is which knife is thicker, which you can see easily enough with some calipers.

I really like your videos, I'm from Brazil, and I only have one bush knife, it's the mora pro robust, I wanted it before, I heard about your channel for that reason, and that's what made me sure. It cuts like those American knives in the video, wonderful for thick carvings, feather sticks, general uses, I still prefer the Victorinox Sentinel for cooking (even comparing it to kitchen knives, perhaps just a butcher's knife would be as good). I'm very happy with it, I found it strange that the hem was so fat, I even thought about making another one, but it's good for ostentatious use, and for wearing inverted (just the clip out, and the knife inside the pants), and it's to use, it is black, the silver clip is horrible as it draws attention

BK2: Carbon V (Better steel than 1095) also heat treated harder. Has a better handle Esee 5: 1095 heat treated lower (softer steel) Better handle material but not a better handle design, better sheath. Nobody is going to do what you did, to use his knife, no matter if he's in the Army or not.So both are the same. However, in the same time, both are prybars and not properly designed knives, for any kind of use. So, what you get, will be mostly a collectors piece. These knives, is mostly marketing... not designed for proper use. Way too thick and heavy, with very poor blade geometries. Ka-Bar Mark 1 Kraton, with a proper reprofiling, as all new knives need, is what I would suggest from Ka-Bar knives. BK 16 is also a good choice.
