the keenan joke was quality
I never saw catching cruifixs being someones go to being a thing. Bjj continues to surprise me
Holy crap! Thank you for those crucifix resources! I've been building a crucifix game solely off of gambledub's study of Yoshida.
I prefer the voice over the text. Feels more personal and keeps me engaged more.
"Look into it" - I'm dying! hahahaha
Great video, super interesting. The text-only method is better than that computer voice. Having all information written down makes it much simpler to understand, and also makes it Safe For Work
New format is great! This is an awesome study. Will support you on Patreon.
That selling people masks joke in hindsight wouldve been a gold mine considering today's eventsxD
Awesome analysis, I appreciate the work you do for the entire Grappling Community. Voice over text allows me to focus more on the analysis.
Awesome breakdown BJJ Scout! I was fortunate enough to roll with Alexandre and now I have an insight into why I was tapping so much, but there is no stopping him . Easily the best grappler I have ever rolled, effortless submissions at his desire.
Another beautiful breakdown:) I like having music in the old format, and the computer voice can be a little bland,, But,,, it's much easier not having to read and try to watch at the same time. I would always have to watch in slow motion.
Amazing breakdown. Thank you for this! I like the voice over as you don't need to keep pausing to read and watch the details properly.
Scout, As always, your content is absolutely awesome and you should be proud of it. This is an outstanding work with high level analysis and clever observations. I sincerely hope all the issues regarding unauthorized use of your videos are resolved in your favour. You deserve better. Thank you from Brazil. Best Regards PS.: I also prefer text over voiceover, but don't mind me, feel free to keep the format that best suits you.
I enjoy the voice over the text. It allowed me to focus on the video, instead of jumping back and forth between the text and video.
Your breakdowns are amazing
Awesome new format @BJJScout !
awesome breakdown - one of your best to date...
Love it. Thank you for all your great content.
I still attack the arm with my leg, and is important how you block the arm before to attack, but thank you, I'm glad. oss
This format is better scout, please keep it up
Thanks for the shout out! I was gonna send you some cool sequences I had, but I figured it would be more fun to just make a video response. Hopefully it's up by the time you get this!
Baret Yoshida attacks the Crucifix the same way. He is more active with the leg blocking the hip tho. Part 2!!
I have a full highly elaborate attacking sequence from and in and around the crucifix postion. It's one of my go to attack sequences I have been developing for a few years now. I would be happy to share a few things with you. Top secret lol Daniel Perez (Demian Maia black belt)

I'd love and appreciate you to share a vid teaching those fully highly elaborate sequences.

I second that, I absolutely love that position and would like nothing better than to improve it. MG is one of my heroes when it comes to it.
Amazing analysis BJJ Anon
I like the new style. It's so clear and easy to follow.
Hi BJJ Scout, Great stuff as always. I used to wish that you had a voice over, but now having seen that, I miss the old style with text and music. The text used to go a bit fast for me though, and I kept having to pause. I didn’t have to do that with the voice over. But overall, I prefer the text/music. But either way these are great videos

Robert Matthews agreed I like the music version. Great stuff as always though!
Really liked this style of video!
Love the Computer voice. It adds another element to your witty quips. It allows me to immediately grasp the technique instead of worrying about reading. I actually turn off the volume when music is played.
voice over is fantastic! much better for me as an auditory learner. plus i think the robotic voice gives you an air of mystery.
I like this style way more. Sorry. This is awesome!
2:55 - Summer 2020 in USA; bjj scout was ahead of his time
Thanks! Being older, finding the leg hook for the arm entering the crucifix is actually easier many times than going after leg hooks for a more traditional back attack, due to hip dexterity ( or the lack there of). Also, following a long wrestling career, the "Merkle" leg hook is very familiar to me and I actually use it in BJJ from the "Dog Fight" position. Lots of good food for thought, thanks again!

Just watched this video, great stuff.. As a former(current?) wrestler I've been developing a game from a wrestler's front headlock series and side riding. In the gi attacking the turtle I'll front headlock looking for a loop choke and will switch to side ride for the clock choke. Often I'll get a crucifix from this also. I'm a purple belt and am still developing this series, I love it!
really really well done
Prefer the cool music and text over this format. But I am grateful for anything that you have time to put out. Cheers!
Amazing vid!! Marcelo Garcia is also a monster with the crucifix
I like the good music and reading better than the voiceover, but whichever you choose I will still watch your videos
Such good videos
Good God man that no gi worm guard was savage
I like these videos with narration instead of text
As always thank you. I like this new format its easier to follow. But the old format was amazing 2
Nice job man🖒.
Feliz Natal!
Great stuff as always. I prefer text > voiceover because you can pause it and let the details sink in while looking at the position.
Keenan (cough, cough...shit I'm sorry), I meant to say BJJ Scout...this video is awesome. Love the 'Anonymous' voice over too. :)
Wowow great study
I like the text-to-voice. I can watch the movement instead of trying to keep up with reading at the same time.
AWESOME!!!!
Terrific video regarding a modern look at the crucifix, thank you Scout! I liked the voice rather than the text. I liked the change. Good call in terms of finding how to reach different learning styles. So maybe next vid will be text and voice? I love your style no matter what, thanks again. I appreciate what you do for us all!! Merry Christmas!!
love it keep it up
Aloha BJJscout. Loving this video. I was wondering if you could do a video about the use of the two on one and Russian tie in grappling and mma. Seems like a strong positional control while standing. Just wondering if it has been explored much.
Great video as always but agree with a few others, I like the music with the text. That being said, still top notch stuff.
Thank you for this Video. I would love to see a Scout Video of Baret Yoshida crucifix. Baret has been using this position from a long time ago.
MOAR!!!
Hey could you please do a video on the sweeping single in the gi, amazing videos
Loved the increased detail but I'm not a fan of the computer voice. I would prefer your real voice or the text. Keep up the great work!
haven't even finished the video but that keenan worm guard without the gi is Hilarious
2:54 BJJ scout is from the future
2:53 that joke aged well.
Omg this is some good stuff
I have had success with crucifix when opponent turtles. Attacking the rnc, but then attacking guillotine then mounting for the finish.
I think one of your goals with patreon should be to pay for a voiceover once you hit a certain amount if you want to maintain anonymity
This is great!!

I also lol’d everywhere!
Prefer text to robot voice, but great study!
Love the break down. I think the voice over is an improvement over the text.
I prefer voice. Once again, great study.
I miss the old background music to go with the Breakdown grabs my attention more
Barret yoshida uses this same leg configuration.
Awesome work. I prefer the voice over to text.
I liked the audio, great job.... Keenan?
Please keep the voice. Also, I've been finding myself quite often in these entry positions so I've started to look for the crucifix more and I'm landing it. My problem is with the finishes. When attempting to sink in the choke my opponent keeps being able to turn into me. I'm guessing I need to pull him more atop of me? More pressure from the grapevine in his legs maybe? IDK, I'm right there I feel like this is almost mine.
Great content. I like the text better, though. If the slides can stay on the screen a little longer it will be even better.
I dug the music, but the VOICE is an improvement. Maybe combine the two? Sections of Music and text, at the beginning perhaps, and the study part with Robo-Voice (sounds good though), then bring it home with some bullet points and some sick beats. SICK STUDY!!! I'm gonna use this.
1:30 gadisov does a fireman carry just like this
I like the voice over! maybe you could put text on the screen as well for those who like to see the bullet points. I personally like to hear it.
at 8:59...you can see Alexandre smile when his opponent steps right into his trap...lol
Plz part 2
This voiceover is freakin me out, man!
What about updating these studies with a new approach to crucifix that Rafa Mendes used?
What if Keenan C. is in a no gi match with George Costanza? Would a two finger worm guard grip be enough to ensure a sweep?
Seems to me people learn different ways, for me I like the audio since I have a hard time seeing the words and trying to follow what's being pointed out at the same time. Maybe do both?
Very nice video! Excelent athete!
"Alexander goes for THE CRUCIFIX" will be haunting my dreams.
Agree with text being better than computer voice. Great video anyway, mate!
He's basically doing Baret's style of crucifix lol
I like the robot voice. But I also miss the music. Good to mixer the 2 I think. It brings a different type of mood to the videos.
definately prefer the voice. I can cocentrate better on what's going on on the screen, while still hearing the breakdown.
Great stuff per usual. My game is better for your videos, thank you! I would echo those who prefer text instead of computer voice. The voice is cool , but the music with text really engages my awareness. Think I retain the information better and am more likely to share those concepts on the mat.
I really love your channel and gave this video a like, but could you try to go back to the music and text? Amazing content as always!
the eddie bravo shit had me dying
Hilarious Keenan's worm gaurd
Voice over is much better imo, means i can watch the vital parts of the video while listening instead of having to take my eyes away from the positions to read.
who the heck disliked this?! jerks this was amazing!
The voice was VERY helpful and MUCH clearer than the text. But, you might try one of the other voices. The British sounding american voice is also a good option. But, you should mix in a little music or sound effects to add variety.

British sounding American voice?
You can use the crucifix with the mao de vaca or wrist lock
is that zach the ufc fighter that trains at marcelo's?
Keenan worm guarding someone nogi LMFAOOO
Music n text por favor
sir can we have more slow motion please
This was funny
Robo voice is okay, but I also prefer really text. I often like to watch videos like this with my volume down. And maybe Matt Hammil is watching your videos trying to learn some things!
