I missed Bjork when she first came out, now I am deep in the rabbit hole, watched a documentary on her history and music. An absolutely, undeniable genius and incredibly unique in her music, fashion style and that voice! I have so much respect for what she has done and the videos I have seen are just as creative as the music that they represent. She is ART in every sense.

I'm starting to get into get late in the game, too. She came out when I was in my early teens and it wasn't my thing then. Guess I just wasn't ready for it.

As a musician, Engineer, and Producer...who's studied and listened to every genre, I must say that this is pretty much a perfect song. The dynamic range, the reverbs, the concept, and the MASTERING. It's all pure genius.

@@isaakwelch3451 Well, KZread uses a certain compression to EVERY sound file. They match loudness which sometimes can alter the feel of a song. Of course the CD version will sound better, that's the final Mastering standard.

Man.. seeing this video always gives me an emotional breakdown. In 1994 I was 14 years old. I remember I was talking on the phone with my friend one evening, and we were both watching MTV. Suddenly this video came on. A minute later I felt like my world had changed. I was suddenly enamored with Bjork. I was mostly a top-40 kinda dude up until that point, but her music unlocked a whole universe of music I had never experienced. Her beauty, innocence, and creative brilliance was so captivating. I feel such sadness that I couldn't somehow meet her back then or even see her in concert. But I'm so thankful for all the memories I have of experiencing her music. It's one of those situations where I can't listen to those songs very often because it's too much raw emotion and nostalgia.

They were going to do a COVID-19 check as you arrived in Reykjavik. That all got scrapped probably as there was more pressure from the other European countries.

When i visited Iceland many years ago now, i wanted to see her perform live in Reykjavic's Hall Harpa, but unfortunately i came down ill with an upset stomach & was unable to buy tickets to her concert. Yes. They aren't listening to the lyrics. There is something slightly "off" about the melody in comparison to the pitch in her voice. It's like it should be beautiful and in tune together, but it's what she is saying about human behavior itself. It's almost too rough or base. It's hard to explain but I understand what you are saying!

I still remember seeing this music video for the first time when it hit the charts. Björk was the most unique artist on the scene, no contest.

What I love about bjork, is that unlike most mainstream artists, the comments aren't full of bot comments trying way too hard to get as many likes as possible, they're instead full of actual people who you can tell are interested in the music

Did you nlknow that the Ricardo Lopez incident where Lopez was obsessed with Bjork in the most unbelievable act. At one point Ricardo repeatedly comment the fact that Bjork was married to Goldie or in his words a black man and that Lopez didn't like the idea of that and was unacceptable and underappreciated. He even go so far as to make a bomb filled with either HIV contaminated blood or sulfuric acid Depends on how you look at it He explained that if the package is sent to her address then both he and Bjork will be gone to Heaven Of course the aftermath we all know how that turned out.

This was the very first glimpse of Bjork to me. Being 13 and watching clips of this very interesting human being on MTV when there were videos on regularly. I watched or taped 120 minutes every Sunday night around midnight to find other artists like Bjork. I walked to the “cd store” to buy this Debut album and just played on repeat. I became a super fan and started collecting Sugarcubes albums, import singles, box sets and buying double copies to keep sealed which I still have. I’m not a huge fan of Bjork’s newer works but I respect this woman for every creative thing she has brought to the music industry.

Very good description, she's a great singer from what ever point of view you want to look at it but the artistic choices she makes with her Voice is what makes it stand out. I honestly get frustrated with people who believe songs should only be sung in a singular straightforward manner.

Bjork sounds like she is casting an ancient Icelandic spell in the middle of a deserted forest or mountain top when she sings. I was a massive Sugarcubes fan but I'm glad this song ripped her into mainstream consciousness forevermore.

Electrifying, engaging, enchanting & perfect. Who else would give almost anything to go back to this epoch-making magical time when MTV was still the #1 social unifier as they played these things called music videos from every genre of pop which brought us together as we multiplied our yields of feat? And Bjork: Amazing.

This song makes me feel better about people being mean to me. It gets me out of my thoughts and reminds me I’m my own person..

Omg, after 25 years I finally found this video. I have seen this video back in the 90s on mtv when I was five years old and it has scared me. Specially the bear and the moth. I even had nightmares from this video. The memory of this video stuck about 25years in my head and I think it’s curious how we see things as a child and how we see things as an adult.

My thoughts exactly. I have an acute fear of Moths and I link it back to seeing this video. It's an actual thing called Mottephobia. The bear scared the shit out of me too. Also Pink Floyd's the Wall with the kids wearing the paper mache masks. Cheers dad.

I remember vividly when this came out; I was in college, bought it, and listened to it religiously. A masterpiece.

This surreal paper mache video alongside with her powerful, ringing vocals is just… hypnotic? Haunting? Terrifying? Perfection?

This woman's voice still melts me after all of these years.

Definitely one of the most important artists of the last 100 years. So uniquely creative. Basically, anything she does is great.

Remember when this came out in 93 living in Wisconsin listening to UW whitewater college rock when they played this best song I had heard in a long time.

And just like that, a legend was born

I think the reason why this song has always been one of my favorite björk songs is that it speaks to me. I love studying human behavior and the more I seek to understand it, the more I become confused. Often times I feel like an alien looking at human behaviors from the outside. Thank You Björk!

This was probably the high point of music video production. A perfect visual accompaniment to an incredible song, which also captured one of the most unique female artists of her time at her peak.

I was just watching a video about Björk ( worst to best album) and suddenly got this notification. Oh so satisfying!

Very artistic, creative, iconic! She's one of the most talented in the music industry. How the heck Grammy never gave her a win? It's a shame.

This was my first Bjork song ever and I think I was like... 15 or so?? Fast forward and I'm 40 and this song still just calls to me when nothing else does

I've been following her since the 80z or 90z because she's so strange, original and creative in a world of uniformity and standardization. I'm an artist myself and this is perfect long live Börk❤

The first time I heard this song I fell in love with Bjork that instant. I went on to buy all the albums that were made. My CD collection is into the thousands and I still pick out my Bjork CD's before many of the others I own. I love her voice.

Same here... Got all her albums... Fell in love with Björk in the 90's. Mostly love 80's Metal, but her voice just got to me =)

I'm a 52 yr old Texas serious metal head. That being said I've always loved Bjork and siouxie. Bjorks speaking voice is like an angelic bird and her strange yet awesome vocals on post are fkn hypnotic.

Leif Ereicson is pretty famous. I think its awesome that a country with the population of the city I'm in: Huntsville, Alabama could beat England in the 2016 Euros. Thats like a 1 to 150 population ratio.

Björk's music flew over my head when I was a kid, but now when I've listened to all kinds of stuff like jazz, I can see the greatness.

This video was burned into my teenage brain in the 90s, the perfect late night song and video

When MTV blast your mind with quality. Those where the days. Bjørk was and still will be such a great memory. Just love her craziness and incredible musical skills.

I am from Portugal,49 years ..i could say a lot of things about her genius...i only say that she IS like Lionel Messi in football...she IS wonderful...

This is such an amazing song but something needs to be said for her acting in the video. She conveys emotion so convincingly, something she also does very well with her singing. It all adds depth to the song.

Watch "Dancer in the dark" by Lars Von Trier. Bjork's acting is AMAZING. It breaks your heart from the first few minutes she's on screen.
