What a fuckin legend BJ is. Always got goosebumps when he would be walking out to fight. Never a truer motherfucker of the game than BJ in his prime.

I still remember the time when Quinton "Rampage" Jackson went up against Lyoto Machida, while BJ Penn took on Matt Hughes in the undercard. Both Rampage and "The Prodigy" Penn secured victories that night. Between 2000 and 2010, these two warriors were truly at the pinnacle of their game. As a fan, I'm really happy to see them enjoying retirement and leading successful lives post their incredible careers. Much respect to both of them!

I got to see BJ knock out Sherk live in Vegas at the MGM. I was in the nose bleeds but it was so amazing. Bj Penn was the greatest fighter on earth at the time and there was people everywhere, at the weigh ins, everywhere just trying to catch a glimpse of BJ. Love Vegas when there’s fights happening I hope it’s still like that. Anyway love to see BJ doing well, Rampage too. The reason why I love the fight game is because guys like these.

I spoke to BJ Penn’s mom at a UFC convention the night before he fought Edgar the second time in Boston, I told her that her son was getting her belt back…it didn’t work out that way but BJ is one of my all time favorite fighters ever. Couldn’t sleep the night GSP beat him in the rematch 😂

This podcast is so underrated mostly bc it's unknown still. Just give it time.

50 year old combat veteran. I really relate to your comments, and so many in our community do as well. Appreciate your humility, honesty, and integrity BJ Penn amd Rampage. It's ironic but me and my son are running in a non profit this weekend to support mitigating vet suicide. Question - is there research on athlete and or fighter suicide? If not reach out to start one. Sorry didn't mean to get dark but sometimes dark is necessary.

Wasn’t an MMA fan at the time you two were fighting but my buddy across the street was so I knew who y’all were. Fast forward today ima huge fan of the sport. Love seeing legends chop it up together on the pod.

If anything i can see n hear the passion as well as the pain in penns voice and eyes. He's a legend and i followed his whole career in the UFC (I'm 30). This interview made me understand him more than anything. Real recognize real.

It is what it is but BJ was a natural talent who did it just for challenge himself, he fought in several different classes against real fighters. One of the best ever.
