Just imagine......a future show where you combine these legends all together in one show,bas,chuck,coleman,Don fry,Ken shamrock,and of course maybe two or three other pioneers of the sport from that era...that podcast would absolutely break the internet...all the stories of their interactions together over the years...just something to think about guys🤷....it would definitely be something EVERYONE would tune into watch💯👊

Bas Rutten was my first MMA/boxing coach ever. Back in the days training in my room with his tapes that were just killers for cardio training. Joined an mma gym after a few months I was already good at cardio and pads just because of it, I advise everybody that want to train solo to get his tapes, a headphones and it’s like having a trainer next to you that pushes you a create excellent habits (finishing every combinations with kicks, even with shadow boxing going full force with good form to maximize the gain of cardio), great boxing combinations, and for the mma training his tapes about it are excellent with a tons of sprawls that’ll just kills you. He even had a conditioning training that it just overall good for building muscles FOR fighting since there’s almost no weight (just dumbbells for bicep training). Respect to the Bas for all these good training sessions 🙏

Yeah we used to use his combo drill audio tapes in one of the boxing gyms I used to train at. Loved it Also his legendary bar/street fight self defense series are the GOAT

I still have a trophy somewhere from the Bass Rutten Invitational - 1999 from Colorado. Legend.

Bas might end up being the best guest with his prison stories and street fights. His self defense videos were always superb, especially the one made inside the pub with funny breakdowns. Once bought his Body Action System and broke it the first two days, and found out quickly I had the fake one for some reason. Buy it from the main source, always.

Bas is one of my favorite athletes (and story tellers) of all time. When I was a young adult many years ago I found his address online and wrote him a short letter and he actually wrote me back. Super cool dude. Wish I still had the letter.

1 of the best pods yet for jaxxon..being 44 I love hearing these stories from guys I looked up to..Renting the vhs tapes back in the day!

I'm not gonna lie i started watching ufc vigorously after mcgregor knocked out Aldo, but i've put in the work watching the older ufc events and tracing fighters histories. Pride, wec, strikeforce, and i gotta say. This podcast is sooo comforting to watch. The fact that mma is new enough to have legends tell us how it was created and their journey is amazing.
