What a beautiful area, bittersweet indeed, in respect to your father. My thoughts are with your father, you, and all your family at this time.

It truly is bittersweet, a life is a precious thing to lose. I lost my father last year and didn't have an opportunity to say goodbye bc of the pandemic. Though he had dementia, he knew who we were even if he couldn't remember our names. My hope is that you have/had time to spend with him that will help ease his journey and yours. You have a lovely, sweet son and love joy you two share on your adventures.

I use to do this a lot, back in high school and university!... I'm married now though, so we now use rooftop tents... I love the mountains here in British Columbia!.. They call to me all summer!... Just watch out for hungry bears, and that wild man that the natives are terrified of lol
