Jeff Booth is great! his book, Price of Tomorrow, was the 3rd book i read on my journey into the Bitcoin rabbit hole - and it's not even about Bitcoin.

Jeff Booth is a legend.

Since I switched to MSTR from GBTC a month ago my equivalent BTC held has grown 66%. (Before everyone starts hammering me about self-custody, please realize I'm a retiree with no taxable income who needs to spend all his pension every month, my MSTR is in a major tradfi brokerage Roth IRS, I don't need the expense and hassle of a self-directed Roth, I prefer MSTR's leveraged system risk reward over the fee of an EFT, and my testamentary planning is simpler for my heirs and me knowing that they can keep a proper portion in BTC by simply holding MSTR.)

First, one must have conviction that: 1) the dollar will continue to be debased, and 2) Bitcoin cannot be controlled by governments and will continue to rise in dollar price as the dollar is debased, and 3) Bitcoin adoption will accelerate. Given these factors, MSTR can use its growing market cap to make an accelerating speculative attack on Wall Street by raising funds to buy more Bitcoin at a cost a fraction of the rate of increase of Bitcoin's market cap. Other companies would like to copy MSTR, but companies with larger treasuries who make aggressive Bitcoin buys to try to obtain the scale necessary to compete with MSTR will drive up the price of BTC, thus pushing MSTR further ahead. Smaller companies will take too long to reach the size necessary to rank high enough in the indexes to draw the huge percentage of passive 401(k) and other institutional investment inflows that MSTR already has and soon will have more of as it gets into the S&P. Three other factors help MSTR...1) As companies move up the rankings of the indexes they will typically trade at higher multiples of NAV. MSTR is near 3 now and is moving higher in rankings than companies with higher multiples so MSTR's multiple will naturally increase. 2)MSTR has almost no maintenance cost to hold BTC. 3) Many ignorant traders continue to short MSTR, on average to about 20%, which shorts repeatedly fail, thus helping MSTR price rise as well. MSTR, like BTC, will be one of those generational buys like Microsoft, Amazon, and Berkshire Hathaway.

Mstr will grow with the price of Bitcoin. It is basically pegged to BTC.

@@daleblast5379 Doesn't seem that way recently. Since 2/16 BTC average daily gain was 0.91% while MSTR average daily gain has been 3.57%. The BTC gain is measured from NDX market close of 4pm EST to next 4pm. I think the effect of MSTR leverage will cause it to outpace BTC at least until MSTR's price multiple to NAV grows 5x from where it is now.

Just after the Satoshi Era, I missed out on about 4 major crypto opportunities, one of them involved Bitcoin. I also spent many years of a Crypto Winter NOT DCA'ing. But a few months ago, I pulled myself from my bootstraps and have a very good Portfolio positioned for the upcoming bull. My point is, don't dwell on your mistakes, there's still tons of opportunity in this market. Especially Bitcoin.

Investing anywhere other than bitcoin during these early adoption years is inefficient 😉 if you're acquiring satoshis to gain dollars, you haven't done enough research

Absolutely agree. You will know you are truly beginning to understand Bitcoin when you stop giving a damn what it's price is in fiat any more. It is a profound shift.

I’ve been watching Bitcoin since 2017 and started buying around the same time. Thus, I’m not a crypto newbie. I believe in the promise of BTC, up to a point. But some BTC maxis have turned their ‘maxiness’ into a religion. I’ve listened to Jeff for years. He is a missionary for this new religion. Missionaries have a tendency to have confirmation bias and a distorted view of reality. It is good to have people like Jeff proselytizing, but one has to be careful to realize what is going on. The world is a complicated place. This religion is not going to lead to a ‘promised land’, any more than any other.

I don’t see it like a religion. What Jeff is saying is that the 1 Bitcoin you bought in 2017 has 5 times the purchasing power now. That’s pretty amazing and it’s the same 1 Bitcoin.

I saw a video the other day saying that even if there are only two nodes remaining worldwide… the entire Bitcoin network would remain intact. That’s comforting.

Some people are sort of in a "cargo cult" trying to make sense of all this. I am pretty sure that's not a very good analogy, but it came to mind so......

All theory right now. No Bitcoiners measure their value or wealth in BTC, they measure it in BTC price IN Dollars. Very few can or do transact in BTC and why would they if BTC is growing in value exponentially. You spend the melting ice cubes not the greatest asset ever created.

I used to see it that way, because really, we haven’t known anything else in our lives. The way to change that perception is understand all the products you will buy next year, in terms of bitcoin, go down in price. That will turn the lights on.

Gold was a store of value before it became a medium of exchange.

So we created all our enemies….this guy is baked on cannabis…..has a bent view on history to fit his BTC world!

Yeah imagine what this means….dollar going to zero…euro going to zero…yen going to zero….yuan going to zero (well ok, maybe dat one)…..just not going to happen….fantasy land

The gold standard gave us the Great Depression and we only got out of it because of the debasement…..why would a BTC world be any different? You would have people calling for the end of BTC if a depression happened….

Inflation has gone up every decade of my adult life but my income has gone up as well for the same field of work. If you are scared to demand a raise, bitcoin is not going to help you.

It’s nice that you’ve gotten raises, but when value is extracted out of the economy at scale, everyone can’t simply get a raise. Companies themselves feel the effects of inflation too and if everyone was given a raise, many would have to lose their jobs to compensate.

Has your income gone up more annually than the amount of fiat debasement? If so, you’re in good shape, but how many people can say that? How many can arrange to have their pay go up 3% annually above the rate of debasement.
