The atms should work more like a giftcard thing. A person can buy and gets a recipe with a unique code. Later at home they can then add at any time the code to their bitcoin wallet to receive their bitcoins.

Ben can you recommend a crypto cpa? I live near Kansas City. Taxes as well learning and using bitcoin is very important. But staying out of trouble with the IRS more important for me. Yes I hold about 1/4 of my valued assets in shit coins on three different wallet and or other custodial accounts for lending.

Watch out for the selling price of Bitcoin on those machines, been buying and took a friend to show how to use the machine. Noticed the priced of 1 Bitcoin was $1760 Cdn, yet on Google the price was $1450, we went to another location, price was $1565 plus a fee, the ATM had frozen up, so we went to yet another ATM they were selling 1 Bitcoin for $2021 I now buy on Coinbase

pguimond1507 yup you definitely have to pay attention to the fees. This machine has a 5% fee, while I think a lot of others in my city are 8%. Online exchanges are the most cost effective route if you don't care about giving up your personal information.

I would much prefer not giving my personal info, but I won't pay $2021 for a Bitcoin when the going rate is $1450. Still learned A LOT with your channel, I just ordered a Nano Ledger S and to all my friends who are starting to be interested in Bitcoin I send them here.

Yeah it's crazy that you saw a machine selling for that high. I think the normal rate is anywhere between 5-8%, but that would've been 15-20%. I haven't seen a machine that high before. Where was it located?

Hey Ben, I use Mycellium and have located an Autocoinage ATM at a bizarre location in my hood, but I dont use data on my phone. Do most Bitcoin ATMs communicate via Bluetooth as well, I believe Mycellium requires a connection but not sure If I would need it to send my bitcoin or to buy. I feel I am missing a step. Thanks for doing these, they are very helpful, Im in Montreal.

Not sure I get this. You bought $20 worth of BC and then you immediately sold it back for $20. Where is the spread? You lost nothing?

To buy one bitcoin it costs $1820 CAD. To Sell one bitcoin you will get $1594 CAD. There's your spread. He lost money by showing this.
