Bissell Powerforce 1739 - Has Yours Lost Suction???

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Checking a Bissell 1739 Hose & Belt.
I often poke fun at cheap vacuums on this channel. That isn't because I'm a vacuum snob, but because most of them are legitimately bad. However, these little Bissells are an exception. The Powerfoce 1739 is one of my recommended cheap vacuums as long as you know how to properly maintain it. It has been replaced in the lineup by the model 2019, which is also recommended. You can't expect these vacs to last forever, but if you change the bags, filters and belts regularly they will give you better service than 99% of vacuums in the sub-$150 category. Let's check this one out!
House of Vacuums is Lynchburg's exclusive multi-line vacuum dealer. We sell the best vacuums in the world and fix the rest! We are conveniently located on Old Forest Road in beautiful Lynchburg, VA. I didn’t think I could learn anything by watching a Bissell repair, but I didn’t know about the brush bar melting potential. Great video. Thanks!

    A textbook example of good design for service/repair in a supremely cost-optimized machine. Removing the floor plate gives belt access without fully disassembling the head, and the whole thing is color coded so you know exactly what part you need to pull off to get to the brush and belt.

    Hi there, I just got one of these vacuums and it’s blowing air out from the base… the bag is in place but for some reason air blows out from the hexagon shape part. Is there something that can be done to fix that?

  • @HouseOfVacuums

    @HouseOfVacuums

    Nope, that is the motor exhaust. If there is no air coming out of that, it means your motor isn't running!

    Hi Matt, I was disappointed that this video was not as warm and friendly as you usually make them. This video was more clinical and not as laid back as we have come to expect from your other great videos. It was technically a very good video as always but not as warm and friendly with your audience as we have come to love about your videos and the audio was sort of strange sounding too. Sounded like you were talking in a tunnel. Anyway, I just thought I would let you know not as great as your other videos have been buddy. Your friend. John in Ohio

    It's true that the 1739 has hung around as a WalMart exclusive. But since it isn't available everywhere, I do kind of consider the 2019 the "heir apparent". Cheers!

    I would certainly agree... however, I know there are people who just can't afford that extra $100. If they want something decent for rock bottom dollar, this is definitely the best option at it' price point.

    Tell that to someone living on $500 a month. This is the best budget vacuum you can ever buy, and it's bagged.
