BISPING reacts: Jamahal Hill "Alex Pereira fight is TRULY A MISMATCH!" | PLANS KO AT UFC 300

Спорт

Michael Bisping reacts to Jamahal Hill claiming his UFC light heavyweight title fight vs Alex Pereira is "truly a mismatch' where he plans on knocking Paoton 'the f#@! out" at UFC 300. Mike also talks about Dana White's recent comments saying Jon Jones is the GOAT rather than Khabib and what it means to be the Greatest of All Time and where do fighters like Demetrious Johnson, St-Pierre and Anderson Silva fall on the scale.

People also completely ignore how many times Glover tagged him on the feet too. Often it was counter shots when Hill had Glover on the cage. We saw Poatan can do to a an even bigger guy that tries that with Jiri. Poatan faster and better timing and power to counter Hill in those same situations. Glover also landed some heavy leg kicks on Hill but abandoned them. Glover is Poatan's trainer too - no doubt Glover is gonna have some insight how to beta him. The guy that can't train for the other properly is Hill. Nobody can train for that left hook properly. Izzy trained by fighting Poatan 5 times. Fight can go either way don't get me wrong. But it will be the type of fight Poatan adores.

Like a switch - from you great bro to i'm going to destroy you back and forth Every 30 seconds in that fight looked like one is going to finish another and it would be hard to script a better one.... When you compare those 2 matches the biggiest difference with Glover was the speed he was moving. When Glover fought vs Hill he got caught with head kick and from there it was just matter of time. but even before that he attempted some takedowns and when you compare those takedowns with match vs Jiri you can see Glover being a lot slower ( or you can give it to Hill and say he had better takedown defense) which he had. but to me : that Glover who fought Jiri was totally different when he fought Jamahal. but i hate this trashtalk in MMA and combat sports in general, it just always destroy possibly good conversation just becose everyone has their favorite fighter and some fans are just too much over the top.

Problem with comparing longevity stats with skill/danger stats is they are usually different - one requires time and resilience, 4500 fighters data is in ufc stat leader pages and there is info on the top ten fighters in each of 32 categories. Miller leads 3 out of 32 categories incl most fights, most wins and most submission attempts. Doesn’t mean he wins against top 5 fighters at mo or that his record is all wins. Similar for Oliveira with most finishes, most sub wins and most total fight night bonuses. Again his win ratio not the very best but more significant. Gsp also tops 3 categories with total takedowns landed, total control time and total top position time. Not all wins and not topping tables as percent of his total ring time so this reflects his longevity and longer av fight time. Then we have jbj who has firsts for most title defences and best takedown defence. Title defences is a historic goat thing. He wins but many are close by decision and ring time means damage. There are some stats you don’t want like dos Anjos longest ring time “can’t you finish your opponent?” Total strikes like Joanna and max h - take damage and can’t finish. Total takedown attempts - do you mean they tried and failed? Then there’s true danger stuff. Tom aspinall tops the most tables of any fighter with four firsts. He is 1st for shortest av fight time, best strike diff. These are skill danger stats. He is first for least bottom POs time and least bottom POs time as % of total - good defence. He is 3rd for strikes p min and 4th for knockdowns p min = danger. His td defence @ 100% would beat jones for first place and sig strike accuracy @67% would make him second to overeem if he passed the thresholds of 350 strikes and 20 td attempts. Heavyweights dominate. Almeida still holds 2 top positions for top pos % and control time % having lost his first place for.least strikes absorbed after blades defeat. Pav leads knockdowns p 15 min and is high on other categories, madsen leads sig strike defence. Lewis leads most ko/tko. Over 1/3 of statleader tables (12 out of 32) held by hw with only 2 retired. Also hw hold the most exciting skill based records.

Alex has fought 4 guys who have held titles within the last 3 years while Hill has fought absolutely nobodies outside Glover! Literally outside Glover he's only fought 1 fighter that's even in the top 15 in his division that being Johnny Walker who is ranked 7th! Seriously he hasn't fought anyone!
