I think this commercial very accurately depicts the comfort of Birkenstock sandals. I can understand why it cost so much to repair deterioration of the soles because they are so valuable. It's a bit disappointing that the sweat marks on the soles of my feet remain and it doesn't look as good when I take them off. I once wore them to work at a courthouse and some friends of mine were surprised. But even when I'm looking for shoes that are comfortable and look good even in a business setting, I have a hard time finding them. I think encouraging people to travel by car will help them make more money. Especially in Japan, where the business of bedridden elderly people has advanced.

I'd say no socks generally in any sandals!
