It is worth mentioning that on the OM-1, regular single and regular sequential frame modes use the mechanical shutter. The silent and SH modes use the electronic shutter. The electronic shutter can go faster and avoids some wear and tear on the camera. For birding, the electronic shutter is almost always better. There are other scenarios where mechanical might avoid strange artifacts, banding, etc. from artificial light. I use electronic shutter (silent single in C1, silent sequential in C3, SH2 in C2 - I use user modes for present still subjects, active subjects and birds in flight/faster action subjects) 100% of the time unless I see those kinds of issues in the images in which case I'll switch to mechanical to see if it helps.

So is procapture sh1 & pro capture sh2 similar to sh1& sh2... Meaning that procapture sh1 only focuses on the first shot not all of them. Vs sh2 pro capture keeps focusing on target. And you can use bird detect with it also? Thanks ❤️ your channel
