I’m in biotech in the US, there’s usually a number of additional Sr management positions between Principal Scientist and CSO in my experience (i.e. Director, VP…). Maybe for startups is shorter. Good video

Yes it varies from country to country, company to company, what we have given here is a widely accepted norm in India and USA to some extent

Don't you think that approaching this ladder takes more time and less money. Rather than this, anyone can do MBA and then get the job with a salary of position higher than research scientist

Technically it depends on how early you start and how fast you climb as well. I know CSO who are in their 40's as well
