Bioluminescent Bio-Orb Intro - Grow your own glowing plant-plankton

Ойын-сауық

Grow More - Glow More - Know More
PyroFarms presents the Bio-Orb, a seawater and bioluminescent plankton filled glass sphere. Glowing blue at night when swirled and powered by light absorption during the day, the all-natural Bio-Orb will produce living light, night after night.
PyroFarms grows and sells bioluminescent phytoplankton, which can produce light at night and fresh oxygen during the daytime. We sell phytoplankton that we call PyroDinos. PyroDinos use sunlight to grow (like a plant) and produce a brilliant blue light at night called bioluminescence. PyroDinos also remove the greenhouse gas CO2 from your environment, getting you closer to carbon neutral. PyroDinos with the oceans' phytoplankton remove more CO2 than all land plants combined, thus making them our number one ally for fighting climate change.

how much light do these algae produce, can these grown in direct / filtered sunlight

Very little light is required. PyroDinos will thrive with just filtered daily light or indirect sunlight. Even normal room lighting (artificial) can be used.

Can I add these to a pool for this same effect?

Maybe. Depends on what is in your pool. A saltwater pool may have some lingering effects but any pool with chlorine would kill the PyroDinos.

So why exactly does it do this is it in some way advantages to it?

The bioluminescence produced by these plankton could be an evolutionary defense mechanism. When nasty predators are eating these tiny plankton in the ocean at night, they light up their predator so a larger fish can eat their problem (eat their predator). This is called the burglar alarm theory.

The Bio-Orb is filled with tiny algae called PyroDinos. These algae or microalgae can live for several months or even a year or more. Our in-house culture has been continuously growing for several years.

    Is it drinkable?

No - It is non-toxic but PyroDinos live in saltwater which is not consumable. Ask any surfer.

You would get super powers. If projectile vomiting is a super power. Actually PyroDinos are non-toxic but live in seawater (saltwater) which should not be consumed.
