Biohacker: "Smart drugs" COMPLETELY changed me
Dr. Gundry sits down with Dave Asprey, biohacker and founder of Bulletproof Coffee, who tells Gundry about his favorite (self-tested) nootropics or “smart drugs”. The surprising part? Most of these compounds don’t have fancy names, and are already deeply ingrained in our culture. Watch this video to find out which common smart drugs YOU might already be taking (hint: it’s in the name of Dave’s company), and how you can continue doing so while minimizing negative side effects.

There is whole foods that do have nicotine in them. I smoked 3 packs of 100 menthol cigarettes a day when I was younger going thru depression. I got very sick and had to figure out how to quit and what was gonna work for me. I knew I had to do it for myself. I first did baby steps with the strongest to lowest cigarettes. I had read several books about addiction with caffeine and quiting smoking. I learned there are vegetables that do have nicotine and the nutrients I needed to jump start healing my mind and body. The more I knew the better off I was. I havent stopped enjoying learning about health and nutrition.

I did an EBT heart scan a few years back, results were great however, someone recently said that this test is a scam. It was only a $100 test which is great because I pay for test out of pocket due to high deductible. What are your thoughts on this testing and what would you suggest would be the best testing to head off any potential heart issues? Thank you

To add to my last post. What is the best way to reverse damage, keep the heart healthy as we age? I do use a lot of your products including your olive oil. I have a family history of heart disease, does that mean I am at high risk. I hear statin drugs have bas side effects, my boyfriend would like to stop taking, how can he work toward getting off them. He did take the The EBT heart scan and his result were very good? I believe heat disease is the number one killer?

I have done alot of research on nicotine because I thought it I might get some benefit from it. I was considering using a patch. But what I found out is that nicotine interferes with the life cycle of cells. The cells don’t die when they are supposed to, they hang around. I’ve had cancer. Twice. I don’t want cells that can’t die. I’ve seen studies showing that nicotine is one of the most dangerous compounds in cigarettes, more even than tar. I think there is a very cavalier attitude around the use of supplements, especially on the internet. I think this post is irresponsible. I have canceled my subscription

Galliano Marr , I take 60 mg a day , just before I go out . I have fibromyalgia, so I use it on a good day , occasionally in the evening instead if I have something I want to go to in the evening. I dont want to take too much as I also have rls, and dont want to be over stimulated. . That works very well for me . I will be active for 2 to 4 or 5 hours on that and am not too exhausted to get home . Any more and I would have a bad fibromyalgia flare for the subsequent few days . I hope that helps you . Pacing myself is always the biggest difficulty. K

I have to disagree when it comes to coffee which contains the carcinogen Acrylamide and the acidic levels kill the microbiome which we tested but you can do the same thing at home. Even typical microbiome tests such as Viome recommendations are to reduce or eliminate coffee because of the effects on the GI tract. We also have the first Sublingual Nicotine product. Cheers

Interesting. Weren't there studies done that actually showed a correlation between coffee drinkers and longevity? Didn't the health benefits outweigh the concern? And might there be conditions where the Acrylamide is not an issue? Like say if you consistently eat prebiotics and probiotics, so the acidity might merely cause some hormesis that might even be beneficial in the long run?

Pretty sure he is saying that certain chemicals and components of things that are bad for you over all are actually good for you. Nicotine is not bad for you, although it is highly addictive and the delivery method packed with carcinogens is very bad for you.
