I have a question about vicariance and ecotone: Ecotone is also defined as an isolated region with barrier either water or mountains? Should we put ecotone in the large dimension of species diversity studies? or both are same?

that is incorrect. An ecotone is the transitional zone between two biomes. So, for example, the ecotone between the tundra biome and the polar biome is the tree line, where trees can no longer grow owing to a alck of necessary resources for survival
