BING Fu (Amazon) External Antenna For Cellular Game Cameras Like the Reveal and Spartan Inside Look

Спорт

I've already shown you in another video that this antenna doesn't have anymore gain than the factory antenna but let's cut one open and see for ourselves what's inside the BING Fu (Amazon) External Antenna For Cellular Game Cameras Like the Reveal and Spartan Inside Look

Sketchy review ..not testing them in actual use to compare the number of bars gained over an antenna as a alternative substitute that came with any product to verify the gain..

I used that antenna and a Panel antenna on a cellular modem, Test site a little over (6) miles from cell tower... I frist added the panel amtenna to a free standing pole 8 foot off the ground and got a 5mb down gain then added that antenna on top of that same 8 foot pole and got an additional 5 mb down gain... just wanted to share, have a good day.

This video is 2 years old. Do you still recommend the ridge tec Antenna for a spypoint trail camera? And if so, will it work on both the LTE cameras and the new flex cameras? Then where can I buy them and how much are they?

Yes, they work well. These or my directional antennas are solid choices for any cellular trail camera. www.herd360.com/products/trail-camera-antenna-booster-4glte-for-spypoint?

One channel mention the antenna he was using would help extend battery life of the camera? I asked if antennas used battery power, he then said no? I'm a little confused now...I know nothing about antennas...

Cellcams use battery power to transmit data images. Like your cellphone, when signal is week it takes longer to transmit therefore using more power because of the increased time spent trying to send. Also if the signal is poor and the upload fails the camera will try again and sometimes multiple times. Improved signal helps insure faster uploads.

disagree with that. the higher dbi antenna the less gain you will have. Most factory antennas are 9 dbi so less gain that is why many times the pictures dont transmit right away. If you have a 30% or better signal you dont want to be using a 9dbi you will want a 5 dbi for more gain.

I disagree sir. Been doing radio communications a long time. Higher db gain gives increased tx and rx

Now can you reach a point of saturation? Absolutely. You don't need a higher gain antenna if signal strength at the transceiver is adequate

@@herd360 but most higher db dont cover a big area. Might reach further but your talking like 20-25 degrees so if anything is obstructing the view very hard to get a good signal

@@herd360 from what I was told and read. Not an expert by any means. I know many people have problems with factory antenna but getting it higher in the tree with the cable does help. You also get those who have barely have if any signal and go with a higher gain antenna but in the middle of rolling hills with tree cover expecting to get something. The higher the gain the more you want to be in an open area correct?
