How did you become a camera operator?

The problem with a lot of Dead cover bands, just my opinion, is they are usually really good instrumentalists but vocals are often flat or don't have the extra "it" factor (like Jerry did) when singing. Billy Strings is one of the best to cover the Dead for this reason. He's an amazing instrumentalist and sings the vocals with a noticeable passion/intensity/depth of feeling. Maybe because he's young but then again so is Grateful Shred (also awesome) but they lack the extra oomph when singing. Billy is a great talent so I hope he keeps at it. This generation is lucky to have someone like him.

Agreed. I've been saying the Billy Strings band is the best act to come along since the Dead, and they're the best Dead cover band on the current scene.....

I agree! I told Billy a couple of years ago I can listen to 2 ppl all day. Jerry and him. He didn't say a word but heard what I said.

Billy effortlessly brilliant when it's his turn. A true master of the instrument. Hard work pays off kids.

Trevor is was 16 and Billy is the coolest man alive. This was not set up ,Trevor and Shep his pop’s were right next to us all weekend. Great great people ❤️

That's one of my favorite things about Billy Strings. As much as he loves to play, you can tell he's having even more fun when another musician is on stage killing it and he gets to play with them. All humble and class.

I just realized that it's you Trevor who shared this. You freaking rock my brother. I recognized you from Saturday. I won't explain why, but you stood out and had my attention during set break. I was amazed by to see you on stage killing it. F yeah

Tomorrow is my first show. I was a bit taken aback by the ticket price. $130! I'm sure it will be amazing. Just a little sticker shock.. We will have a killer spot... I'm stoked. He's outrageously talanted.

Congrats, sounds great! One time my friends invited me to sit in on a smallish birthday gig. It was one of those magical nights when everyone is in the best of spirits and we cut loose. I was having so much fun that at break I stayed up and kept noodling around and fell into Ripple. Next thing you know more and more people started singing along so I had to jump on the mic. Lol, my buddies came back half way through. They said it sounded so good they said screw the break and came back to join in :D

Nice to see concerts happening again. Still shut down here in Canada, ffs

@@clevelandmortician3887 I'm going to be at Legend Valley (Thornville) both nights. I heard the no camping was a leftover social distancing thing. I live 20 miles away so I'm good. But camping there is such a part of the normal experience. Have seen Billy through the years a few times, including with these guys in the group now. Small clubs around Nashville, when they were not full on jam band. So this will be new for me to. I saw the Dead at this venue four times in the early 90's and some offshoots there later on. This won't be like that. But maybe I can close my eyes and drift back a bit.
