I was there that night and let me be the first to say that he wasn't the only one saying "wtf" myself included. I still say that when I look back at that night. I hadn't ever experienced anything like it as far as music goes and I've seen them all(I'm an old head) these guys are legitimately the tightest band I've ever seen and they continuously out do themselves each time they play. The best BMFS show is the NEXT BMFS show. And he's doing it, selling out well in advance every venue and arena they perform in and with traditional stringed instruments. You could get all the great bluegrass pioneers and contemporary greats still alive all together on one bill under one roof and they still wouldn't be able to sell out one single night in some of the places Billy plays. I know now what the term "melting your face off" means...

I miss chorin’ with my gramps on the weekends. We’d feed the horses and shovel out the turds. But he always took me to a little diner in my hometown where him and half a dozen old timers would sit and solve the world’s problems. Or he’d harness a couple ponies and take a drive and we’d both be singing “oh my darlin clementine” at the top of our lungs. He had me fooled that the louder I’d sing, the faster the ponies would trot. Of course he was just tapping the reigns below my eyes. That farm and his way of life are all but gone now. My kids are growing up in the suburbs. Kinda pity them in a way.

Been to several of his shows, yall. They have the communal feeling like it was a grateful dead concert or maybe a mini woodstock... yeah thats it, a mini woodstock. And this guy Billy Strings is really something to see and hear. This is a guy that is a guitar player on the order of Jimi Hendrix. He is the Jimi Hendrix of the acoustic guitar! And he has the longevity of the Grateful Dead. History in the making. What are you going to tell YOUR kids when they ask you what you were doing back when Billy Strings was "pluckin a banjah"?

This band had touched the hearts of so many including myself! My parents are dead heads, my dad adores Dave Matthews Band…but this is the first time everyone in my family has collectively been getting tickets to any show we can get our hands on. It’s a thrill and has brought us as close as we’ve been since we all lived under the same roof. Your music makes me feel the joy of childhood which means so much during these crazy times. Much love💙

What an amazing talent and what a feat it is to find talent like Royal Masat (bass), Alex Hargreaves (fiddle) and the picking of Billy Failing (banjo), Jarrod Walker (mandolin) together this team is without a doubt incomparable. Hey Billy! I have seen you many times and each and every time it's been amazing! You have gotten better and better over the years, although that seems impossible after each show because it seems as if you have brought us all to levels that seem unsurpassable. Boston last summer were two shows I thought could not be any better. Please come back to Boston! I am an old Jerry Garcia fanatic (I saw him over 100 times) and you have made music amazing, and sacred again.
