THIS was rock and roll. No fancy, expensive sets. Just 5 extremely talented musicians under some colored lights who could bring the house down. The playing is tight, the vocals are strong. At the time, it never occurred to me that some day it might end.

Billy Squier was my favorite Rock group in the 70s , 80s. And he never disappoints so much energy. He will always be one of my favorite. 🎤😄 🎸

It's a shame that these great songs rarely get played live.billy is a wealthy man who doesn't need to tour but even if he went out for 2 months one summer I think he would be suprised at the size of audiences waiting for him.

Regardless its time for Boston's own Billy Squire to gain the Rock and Roll hall of Fame.

Billy's voice stands out that can only be his, you can recognize it from the get go anywhere.. beautiful!!!

They were great friends. He even wrote a song for Freddie when he died called "I Have Seen You Fly". Freddie did the 41 second intro and backing vocals for Billy's Love is The Hero.

I saw Queen and Mr. Squire live in Cincinnati on the Emotions in Motion tour. My friends and I went to see B.S. and I thank God everyday that we saw Queen.

at the moment Billy Squier hit it big ( as I remember ) there was no other that sounded as exciting to me.

I didn't think he fizzled so much as accomplished what he wanted. He didn't pursue the fame and fortune circuit because he was too talented to compromise.

He wrote songs critical of the music business. His irony is what I loved most about him. He was cool.

I saw this tour, great show. Billy opened up for Foreigner. Can you imagine how great that was?? Yes, I was alive in 1981, was 15.

I was 17 when I saw him the first time in '81 and 24 the second time in '88.

Squier needs to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Amazing songwriter and musician. This concert was probably the best lineup of his backing band. Great musicians all around.

Don't Say No was the album of my high school years. It's just a flat out pleasure to find this concert here.

I just love the fact that he's just as good live as he is when you listen to his albums with the help of the studio. Some bands are not as good live. I also love the way he constantly interacts with his audience!!!! A true professional. Such a talent

I was born in 82’. I love this dudes music. With the lack of good music at least what is heard by the masses, it is far easier to find older good music than it is to find good new music, that is why this stuff will live on.

With my 1st electric guitar & a "Don't say no" album,i locked myself away for a year & learned how to play guitar & this album note for note..For that i'm eternally grateful to Billy Squire..Dude was a top tier performer back in the day...A hit machine & a hell of a guitarist too..He'll always be one of my heroes along with several others who inspired me over the years..

Ratt was his opener the first time I saw him and King's X and Blue Murder were the openers the second time I saw him... the 80's were effing great for rock and metal!

Woot! I lived either in Maple Grove or Northfield, MN when you saw that show! I'm maybe 2-3 years younger. Billy just floored me in those days. He was such a great songwriter. Whenever the show was, I know I heard about it on KQRS, and I was envious of kids like you who got to go.

I lived in Inver Grove Heights by South St. Paul. I was there as well!! I think I might have the Squire and Pyromania shirts around here somewhere.

I saw Billy LIVE in about 1983 at the Long Beach Arena, CA and that show was one of the single greatest Live performances I’ve ever been to. He was just incredible. Every song sounded just like the album tracks. He was just a superbly amazing performer. Why has he been forgotten?

@@humanbeing2420 Yep. It's a shame, but that's the reason. Billy himself has said so in several interviews. It was a terrible video, but good artists should be allowed to make mistakes and it shouldn't have ruined his whole career.

This album is one of the very best ever recorded.

I love listening to unfixed raw lead vocals, with warts and all!

Back in This day you could only see your favorite bands live or occasionally on TV-like Don Kirshner’s Rock concert around midnight on the weekend. Now I just grab My phone and Voila! Billy Squire in concert!! Damn we’re spoiled

I really miss Bobby's smile. Never will you be forgotten. RIP Bobby!!
