+Mark Johnston He has been making videos on youtube for like at least 8 years,and he has a band called "The Drills" He really is one of the most talanted guitarists/vocalist out there today! You should watch his frettedamericana vids,they are great!

Phil is one of the top session guitarplayers in L.A. I'm sure you have heard him on a hit record,without knowing it.He has recorded guitars for literally everybody from Avril Lavigne to Alice Cooper and everything between.When a big producer needs somebody to lay down some guitar tracks,he's the one they call up.Check out his website,where he has listed all the records,he has played on,you will be amazed.He also worked for Triumph and is the new Bon Jovi guitarist.

Phil was never a "partier" well-rounded individual. Eat sleep and play guitar. He deserves everything he has worked for. Plays with anyone, anywhere, regardless. A great human being.

Billy Sheehan is such a gifted bass player, but this bass sound with his weird eq setting on the amp is so crappy

I admit, that rocked. But if you can afford to hire Billy and Matt to play at your house you would sound good too. Money can make ANYBODY a KZread star, what are you doing on your own?

+Dog Wood Whoah, you obviously don't know who he is . I doubt very much he had to pay Billy Sheehan and Matt Starr to play with him. Phil is a ,very established session musician, who plays on many many recordings and fronts his own band "The Drills" ,and has been touring with Bon Jovi for years,filling in for the washed up Richie Sambora. Phil doesn't pay to play with anyone.

well said, Phil X has been on more records than people know. Kelly Clarkson, Bon Jovi, Daughtry, Chris Cornell, Avril Lavigne, Theory of a Deadman, Rob Zombie, Orianthi - just to name a few He is a sensation and has a great energy to him.

Plus the list of guitarists who count him as an equal is even longer! Let's not forget that his days of proving himself started with Aldo Nova, filling in for Rik Emmett (Triumph) and doing a zillion grind jobs (including the FrettedAmericana videos), paying dues and earning respect... this comment comes from ignorance and you are forgiven.
