My grandfather who was some appliance mechanical wizard met Billy Mays at an industry convention before he died during is "OxyClean" phase. His story became so much more interesting in retrospect. I looked at both videos, Thomas vs Douglass only has Ben Franklin in at 0.26 seconds in, he’s in the back and I think took his glasses of, couldn’t find the same thing in this video so it’s probably a deleted scene, I would assume they record tons of background shenanigans to use and most don’t make the cut

Instructions how to make this battle little more interesting : You just need to keep listening,but to change speed of the video couple of times First start video with 0.5 speed,then put speed normal on 00:11 Then on 00:33 turn speed on 1.5,then back it on normal on 00:56 And finaly,on 01:10 slow down on 0.5 speed and then on 01:27 turn on 2.0 speed Enjoy!

As I binge ERB while trying to work, I notice that nearly every battle has a comment saying one of the lines from this battle is the best ERB ever produced. That's a pretty good commentary on the quality of the writing.
