Take the time to stroll through his album credits, any of his albums. He personally has written every song, every lyric. Every one. How does one person have this much talent? I heard him interviewed and he said there is a song running through his brain all day, every day. If Captain Jack doesn't prove his brilliance, just listen to "She's Always a Woman" and "She's Got a Way". I mean, what the F? I fell in love with his music the first time I heard his album The Stranger, maybe in middle school. Give 'You're My Home" a listen. Best Live Album - "Songs In The Attic". Wowser.

I'm Japanese and I first heard this song when I was 12 years old. At the time, I thought it was cool to see American young people living a lazy lifestyle. When I listen to this song now, at age 52, I realize it's an ironic lament about suburban life.

Great song, poignant lyrics. I was honestly never much of a Billy Joel fan, but this particular song has always resonated with me, mostly because I have lived out most of the lyrics, but also because of the passion in his singing. Even if you can’t personally relate to the lyrics, everybody knows someone like the protagonist in the song. I know plenty of others who this song has really struck a chord with. It’s a powerful tune.

A very youthful Billy Joel, who had already lived enough at this point for two lifetimes. A singer-songwriter-musician-performer-perfectionist throwing all caution to the wind as he shows the local crowd that it’s still rock n roll to him. I believe this was just on the heels of his underrated masterpiece perfect collection of classics and standards, “Turnstiles”. And forgive this tangent but am I the only one disappointed in MLB not taking advantage of the All Star activities, last year, 2017 in Miami, Florida with “Miami 2017”? I wish someone can ask Billy on his reaction to the 2017 All Star Game being held in Miami. 🌟

It was around this time I went to Billy Joel's concert at Dallas Brooke's here in Melbourne 35 years ago. 35 years and yes 5 hrs - Yes 5 hrs of pure magic - Captain Jack got everyone high that night for sure. Billy and Liberty DeVito - brilliance!

I think I was at this performance. First saw BJ in 1972 at the University of Bridgeport. There were like only 350 people there🤣 I knew then he was a star in the making.

saw him live in Denver at Coors Field in 2019. It was nothing short of amazing. I'd never been to a concert where the entire audience in attendance sang every song word for word. Time well spent with my son and it means more now because we will never have a time like that together again. Nessun Dorma almost brought the stadium down.

@Billy Joel🎼🎼 I know someone who performed with Billy and is still a close friend. I know for a fact you're not Billy. You could get reported to You Tube for impersonating him... so you should stop. You are embarrassing yourself too. Billy would never ask for a person's location anyway. You're obviously a troll just trying to get information out of people.
