I love him ! I’m forever thankful that despite my parents and grandparents (generally) being no fan of swearing in their houses, They loved Billy and his humour so much that he’d often get put on the box- & they’d be reduced to tears laughing at all of his stories. I grew up listening to his stand up routines, his world tour of Scotland and all the tv specials. It’s daft but it’s like he’s a member of the family, Never met him but he’s such a part of the fabric of our evenings in front of the tv. The tapes are all played to near-destruction and I know the content off by heart, But his telling of it is absolutely unique- No matter how many hundreds of times they’ve been viewed, I still howl with laughter. I will never tire of watching them.

Billy would be beeped on a daytime show in the UK. However, evening in the UK is very different. Mainstream channels can have pretty much everything (and to be fait have always had) Fuck first said on daytime TV by John Lydon in 1976 (who was the second to say the "C" word on a Jungle reality TV programme 30 years later) ALl mainstream TV. Billy has always sworn like a trooper, but I have never found it offensive. LIke he says in the interview, it's all about intent

Why hasn't he kept this look? Good question, my friend. The first and foremost reason is that 1. An actor has to change his look for the rôle. 2. Like most...well like all of the rest of us he likes to change his appearance occasionally. 3. Like everyone else on the planet.....he is gettin' fuckin' auld! Love, Peace and Light! X

@barnesinger It is wrong to ask people to go and watch your sons videos. If you want views let the people come on their own. What you just did was try to advertise a video through another videos comments, and people do not like that.

Who could possibly find his , or your , comments "sectarian" ? I must clearly be misunderstanding these humanitarian statements . Thank you for your kind wishes for me to "get well soon" from my"sad" condition of Presbyterianism . How could anyone misconstrue such philanthropic generosity with sectarian bile ? I am truly mystified !

at 8:35 on, he makes a joke about Ernest Ainsley being the one that performs "murkles" rather than miracles. Granted it's not a terribly hilarious joke, Strombo completely misses it and assumes that Billy is trying to explain who Ainsley is. That just sticks out to me. Overall I think that Strombo is just useless interviewer, Billy could more or less do the whole bit by himself, and this prick seems to just interfere with his useless tid bits.
