Ryan Serhant began his first day in the real estate business on September 15, 2008 - the same day that Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy in the wake of the subprime mortgage collapse. While the real estate sector has steadily recovered, Serhant himself has quickly become one of the most successful brokers in the world, with agents under his leadership in New York City, Los Angeles, Miami and the Hamptons. The Serhant Team has been named by WSJ Real Trends as the #1 real estate team in New York for two years in a row, and the #2 team in the country, selling close to $1 billion in real estate last year. Ryan is consistently the youngest broker to make the Journal’s top ten list each year.
Ryan stars in the popular Bravo series “Million Dollar Listing New York,” which just wrapped its seventh season. On September 18, 2018 - the week of his 10-year anniversary in real estate - he will debut his first book, Sell It Like Serhant. When pre-sales were announced, Ryan was #1 on Amazon’s daily list of “Movers and Shakers.” As star and producer, this year he also debuted his new Bravo show, "Sell It Like Serhant," started a successful vlog ( / ryanserhant ) and launched an app (Agent Empire: NYC). There is nothing Ryan can't do. His motto communicates his professional and personal philosophy, "Expansion. Always. In all ways."

First and foremost big fan, the funny thing is my day is structured very similar to yours other than I can’t walk to the gym. I’m in the gym by 4am and done no later than 5-5:15. I’m in the office no later than 6:15-:630. My day is broken down in the Sam Walton way 80% of my time is devoted to driving the team and 20% of the time doing what I need to do. My day is also based on the three C’s - (Communicate - Commitments - Change). Love the commitment and motivation you bring to each Vlog, just ordered the book and put it on the teams read list. Currently covering North America and Canada for now with GE - General Electric as Director of Field Operations.

He even makes it clear in one of his videos (I think the one about making more money) that he likes "controlling things he can't control," especially people's perception of him. He straight out said that he does whatever he can to get people to think a certain way about him and make them have an altered perspective. This is part of that. He's really smart, and he tells you everything he is doing if you pay very close attention and don't get swept up in his theatrics. The more you watch, the more you can tell when he has his moments of genuine character versus just playing the camera.

@cassl14 You're not an 'idiot'?? you've just simplified the "system" of corporate America. Instead of giving up and living off welfare or food stamps (which I'm guessing you do because you don't wanna work for anybody), you can create a business or invention. Or you can work for others until you've learned enough to branch off and invest in your own buisness implementing your own strategies and ideas (attracting consumers/ clients). There's plenty of self made entrepreneurs ( 'Fat cats' ) who've started with an idea and executed.

It's about leaving a legacy and imprint on this world while not blending into the crowd and just living a meager life like most people do. And if you think most people are merely meager, then your outlook on people in general is strange to say the least.. Personally, I admire Ryan as he's built a very successful business, has gone many places, met many amazing people, has inspired countless people, has left a legacy of success for his family and has made his mark in so many ways. I say most people are meager because they're overweight, depressed, stuck in a job they hate, struggling financially, constantly fighting with spouse, spending money on booze, etc.. The best things in life come at a cost and for Ryan it's his time sacrifice, but at the same time he's truly living an amazing, accomplished lifestyle that most people can only dream of.

I live in the American Gardens Building on W. 81st Street on the 11th floor. My name is Ryan Serhant. I'm 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

While I admire this young man's "Go get em attitude" and energy I myself live a similarly "challenging" lifestyle and I've been doing it for fifteen years. I am not rich, do not have any beautiful hair, and definitely don't have as much positive energy. My day starts at 4:45am...with a V8 Energy and a 1 hour workout in a dusty basement. I take a shower, put on a shirt and tie and make breakfast for my two kids. I then grab a coffee and say "See ya later Alligators" to my wife and two kids. I arrive to work at my Analyst job at 7am. I work on assigned projects until lunch at 1130am where I have Cambells Yes Organic soup in a can ready to be microwaved so I don't have to leave my desk for lunch. I work until around 5-6pm. My wife and I work opposite shifts and typically only have two nights a week together so I end up taking my kids to their dance, gymnastics, soccer and baseball...I come home from those at around 730-8pm...Cook a healthy dinner for the kids, help with homework, get baths, read bedtime stories, pickup the house, and then by 1030p I can finally take my contacts out and do something like this to relax...in fact I type this at 1030pm...My point to all of this is that we all work very very hard for our lives. It doesn't mean you'll gain wealth so I wouldn't take that out of this video. Sometimes you'll just end up like me...living in a tiny Ranch home...with two kids...a wife and a German Shepherd...I haven't ever been able to figure the getting rich part, but I suppose it's all about the market. The only difference between myself and this young man is he seems taller, much more handsome, and we have different careers...but at the end of the day...this kid's got nothing on my wife and I's work ethic, and the millions of other hard working men and women out there. Many of us have similar schedules some even bust their asses harder just to make ends meet. He has wealth, but hard work isn't the only part of that equation. I admire his passion and zest. I pray he gets everything he's working so hard for...seems like a really good young man.

Obviously you have to find a partner who is on the same page and it IS possible. Everyone talking about him or her cheating just because they aren’t around each other is so sad from you all. Thank you for the video Ryan. Keep up the hard work.

To top it off, I have Android Auto and I ask my car all the time, "What's on the schedule for today/tomorrow?" and it tells me what I need to know in case I made changes I left out of my daily routine. And! I add to it verbally while driving. It is a time saver for me. Keeping both hands on the wheel and not having to pull over saves me plenty of time.

Is this what success looks like? Love the concept of starting the night before...and having a solid structure. But let me tell you something. That use to be me....out of the house at 6am home at 8pm. Coming home to late, and too tired to focus on my wife. 14 years later, she leaves me for someone else. Not her fault....she had a husband that was like this guy...can't blame her. Life isn't all about the the chase for success and fortune. You have a beautiful wife dude...my advice...scale your day back a few hours! Have dinner with your wife every night..and spend some quality time together! Hey..and if you still feel the need to work....spend an hour after she goes to bed. But I am telling you...spending even a few quality hours everyday with your wife...is important! Wish I had!! Good luck

This is a perfect recipe to get burnt out. He spends very little time with his wife, and she will eventually have a breaking point, and his argument to her 'I work so hard and you don't appreciate it'. This lifestyle suits someone that's single or just went through a divorce...Best of luck and thanks for sharing your story.

Facts. Truth is this guy's happy. He is doing it out of a passion he developed, not something that was innate. I'll be the first to admit, I'm lazy as fuck, and I always think I'm dumb because I feel like I'm working harder than everyone else. But this video tells me that there's always someone working harder than you, and you'll never be the best. But at the same time, I can't say I'm utilizing my full potential when I keep up a good work ethic for a week and then binge hard on the weekend.
