Short story, here you go (I imagine every song so here's what I imagined. Enemy to maybe lovers?) She couldn't stop running. Not after what had happened. Run, run, run, run, run, run, run, please don't give up on me, her heart pleaded with her legs. One bad trip or slip up from this mud could end her life. Twelve minutes ago, she had been dancing with her target at the special soiré. She knew he'd be there. Never got a word of a name, only the exact clothes he would be wearing, the hair color, and the tattoo on his wrist that no one else had. She didn't like the center of attention but rather, go quietly in the night. This isn't going quietly into the night as the alarms of the building start ringing a loud, abrupt noise that she can in her head. As she keeps running barefoot in the muddy trails of the unknown town, she replays the scene over and over and over again like a movie that is frozen. As she had been slowly dancing with him, she had caressed his neck with the blade, hiding it very well with her other palm. Foolish reason to wear black, the stains are unnoticeable. Everyone had masks to hide their sins. Just as she had stabbed the person that she had hated, the target that she had been studying for countless months, learning everything about him from the way he enjoyed his coffee to the many women that he frequented with, the mask fell, and her eyes had gone wild. The person to look her in the eyes for the last time was a lover of hers, her only lover. That. Fucking. Bastard. And just as she puts the pieces together, her eyes, a pure storm of anger and revenge brewing in her stare find the eyes of the enemy. The real target. The one with the tattoo on his wrist, the one with the exact flower that he replicated on her lover. How in the sky did this happen? "It's just the beginning," he mouths to her.
