Billboard FAQs #2

Today's Billboard FAQs is from questions asked from Whitney Schnabel in our Billboard Entrepreneurs group.
1. Are digital billboards a good investment for someone who has never been in any sales before?
2. Are there any sure ways to get ad sales even if you don’t have a sales mindset naturally?
3. What range of hours need to be worked to manage one fully functioning digital billboard?
4. How far in advance do you fill your digital billboard advertising slots?
5. If our economy continues to tank will digital billboards hold their income rate?
6. Is it better to build new in a dense/high traffic area even if it’s several states away than locally if you are just starting out?
7. Have you seen or heard of digital billboards failing to thrive? What could be some causes of failure?
8. How quick can a billboard get up and running (from the decision to get into it to running the first ad?)

Hey Robert, I recently just acquired my own watchfire 8mm sign that goes up soon. Your videos have been great in guiding me along with the team at watchfire. I was hoping you could give me some insight on the type of contract you use when going into business/leasing with someone and if you use a real lawyer, maybe had one contract written once and now you use it as a template, or if you use a online lawyer system that can generate a contract at will for the price of a subscription. I was hoping for some insight. Thanks.

How can we move around smaller more portable billboards, other than putting them on a trailer? I want to buy jr poster billboards that are 6 feet by 12 feet in size, ones on 4 legs to stand on... but im not sure if winching the signs or using a come along on a trailer to let it down?

I just recently started in this business but i have found that Watchfire is 100% the way to go. They are easily the best built so the price is higher but the support team you get after the pruchase is also what makes it worth it.

What happens if your land lease expires and the owner decides they want the billboard down to build in that space? Maybe you installed it last year

I would do a longer term lease than just 2 years. Standard term is around 20 years but can go up to 99 years.
