❤ its been some months since i commented, and i just want to say that you are so cool :) ive been watching some old 1980s occy surf footage and many times while watching, you came to mind (i know ive made this reference before, but ive never had such direct thoughts of you while actually watching videos of them, occy especially, surf), the reason being that not since those days in the 1980s, and early 1990s, with tom carroll and occy, have i seen someone, especially goofyfoot, surf in a way that really inspires me so much like you do. such power, strength, grace, solidity, wave congruence, critical placement, power, power, and even more power, patience, timing, and pace (you really do seem so present on the wave and dont seem to 'rush' maneuvers, nor do you ever seemingly impose maneuvers onto waves for their own sake, but flow with the wave and do maneuvers at critical energetic points of the wave, and i like your absolutely solid stance and style, and more). you are, and have been as i have said many times, my new millennium hero, (of course lakey, steph steph, laura e, carissa, bethany (very much bethany too, goofyfoot and unique challenging physical circumstances and such an elegant barrel stance, and others have really invigorated and reignited my surfing spark, for which i really am thankful for you), but the way you surf, your decision making on the wave, your insanely aggressive powerful snaps, especially backside, so elegant and powerful and fierce and fearless, are so special, and that comes to mind even when i am not at the time watching you surf, which confirms and reiterates to me, the positive and profound effect seeing you surf has on me, and how happy that makes me :) i often tell lakey how much i enjoy seeing you in her videos from the past times that i often still watch, and i think about how much fun it would be to get to surf and hang out with you both :) maybe someday, perhaps :)
