After range to target is found by laser Arming Bill 2 to detonate, say 4 metres further than distance of laser to target reading would cause it to explode over middle of tank Having a variable setting of when to detonate would satisfy most scenario's i.e, set 2 metres further then laser range & it would explode in centre of room This is how the shell from the XM 25 gun works Love the Excalibur artillery shell too If only u could make hockey players as good as ur military goods Kudo's from Canada

BOFORS has a long history of making lethal weapons. Their guns were mounted on American ships as replacements for the original guns during WW II. As a result, shooting down Japanese dive bombers became a whole lot more effective.

That is hilarious story you developed there, reason why American AA guns were more effective than the Japanese ones were because America mass produced proximity detonating shells. Japan had them too but they were too expensive and came too late to really do anything, America deployed them mass scale on their warships. Basically these shells detonate close to their target so even if you miss an airplane but the shell flies close enough the force it has when detonating will still cause damage. This meant that AA guns no longer had to be pin point accurate and even smaller ships could have devastating effects on airplanes.

The wire is 2000 meters, but the misile fly 1 sec after wire breakes before self destruct. The wire can handle the stress, me myself once tok out a Leopard 2 tank at 2200 meters in training. Must be one of the longest shots made by Bill 2. Also tok down 5 Leopard 2 tanks in one fiering positon. As long as reactiv armour doesnt protekt the tank its a easy kill.

@gosciu555 Yes, there is, but there is also an optical sensor that keeps track of the distance to the target, so you would have to trick that as well and the combination is very difficult to trick. A far easier solution would be to fire at the shooter. the missile is a beam rider, so if the shooter doesn't laze the target, the missile will self-detonate.

The Javelin has many attack modes, one of them is a top down attack especially designed for well armored tanks. It does the same thing comes down and detonates a shaped charge. The javelin has two war warheads the same as the Bill2, one designed to defeat the reactive armor and the other to penetrate the hull. The part where the Javelin shines is that its a "fire and forget" system. Soon as you fire it you can take cover and the missile is equipped with infrared seekers to track the target. The Javelin can operate at ranges of 4,750 meters and can penetrate up to 800mm of armor, far exceeding what the Bill2 can do.

Apart from the missile carrying tandem heat warheads there are very few similarities between the two weapon systems. The Javelin is fire and forget and guids itself to the target, BILL is wireguided and needs to be guided until impact. Javelin strikes from an angle by flying upwards and then diving into the targets roof, BILL flies straight and detonates as it passes above the target.

Ben Conway In many ways yes. At the same time I think the Javelin can be fooled with heavy camouflage like the Bofors Barracuda system and/or IR blocking smokescreens. A SACLOS guided missile won't.

Wintutos you think that because russia has more nukes then they are always gona be better ? mate, no country in the world has the fucking balls to fire a nuke in anger, if they ever do its nothing but globally mutual assured destruction. Also thats fucking bullshit, they are not "missile proof"

Wintutos they dont have the tsar bomb any more u nob that was ages ago, they have the satan or some shit, and no they are not missile proof because - guess what, if someones makes an ICBM, someones gona make something to shoot it down, mate if 2 two missiles hit each other at supersonic speeds - they will fuckin discintegrate

Wintutos Ok, well my grammar is irrelevant - however if it makes you happy then fine. The second an ICBM is launched from anywhere - it would get picked up everywhere, not sure if you are aware but there are counter ICBM bases literally everywhere surrounding Russia - Middle East like Irsael, Saudi Arabia I think, and quite a few in Eastern Europe, then obviously the ones on home soil - UK and in the USA. Anyway my original point was that to have these really sophisticated nuclear warheads and missiles is pointless because like I said, no country (USA, Russia, China etc.) has the nuts to fire one in anger, because it would be mutually assured annihilation.

Wintutos Mate there tends to be quite a few of well educated people on the internet, but talking/typing in abreviated language is just easier - I would obviously not write like that in an English exam. Also I'll have you know, I am educated. (Not going into details.) Now, besides from grammar again, yes we are. However if it was to be nuclear warfare, it would literally be the end of the world as we know it. So if, gods forbid, there is world war 3, just hope that it is conventional.
