Bill is the best bad interviewee I've ever had the pleasure of learning from.
I almost died when I saw this was only 6 days ago. Interviews with Bill are like works of art in themselves. So glad you went deep in the music.

Yeah, people are sleeping on this one somehow. There is actually another one out there too that will pop up if you look for it.
It’s like his left and right brain are constantly fighting each other
bill is one of those individuals you see ever so often who litterally IS art like he would disintegrate if he wasn't doing art as much as possible
The best interview of bill wurtz by far. It's obvious you understood right out of the gate how he can't really open up about how he makes stuff. You managed to ask question while preserving his intimacy as an artist. Wonderful video.
I like how a noticeable amount of comments on Bill's videos paint him as some sort of foreign otherworldly being who cannot be contained (and I was even going to make a joke about that here), when in reality (as evidenced by this interview) he's just a guy who puts videos on the internet. A talented guy, but still.

Yeah people seem to think he’s almost pure savant/instinctual/subconscious, but what really, actually makes him so great (IMO) is how disciplined his process and his thoughts are, so he can create art that doesn’t get detailed by thinking about things that aren’t the art. Even though it’s all art, the process can often squeeze and mutate the art, but he’s contemplated, experimented with, and refined his process to a point that IS almost otherworldly and savant-ish.

if you're paying attention I think this interview paints him in exactly the same light as his content... his mind works differently than most people.

@@Owenrobot spot on. im not gonna speculate on how his brain works but yeah, you're absolutely right. these interviews paint him exactly the same as his content does (though of course not how random casual watchers of his channel think he's like)
4:53 "There is nothing actually wrong with it until you think about it" is a very Bill Wurtzian sentence
dude, congrats on getting an interview with bill! very cool opportunity, and you did a great job interviewing!

Thank you so much!
Bill cracking up whenever you said his name was fantastic lol
bill having a meta interview with himself about being interviewed while also being interviewed about his career is very interesting
This was really good. Not many people can adapt to such responses 1) fast enough 2) without making it awkward. This is the first video of yours I've watched and I'll definitely watch some more. Keep up the good work, dude.

this interview is criminally slept on. the interviewer is very good at giving bill the space to cook his opinions lol (ik bill hasn't really expressed any new opinions that he hasn't stated before on his website, but he expanded on them here beautifully)

totally agree
I would love to interview or just talk with bill. His rich philosophy of songwriting and the creative process is so valuable and I owe so much of my own songwriting growth to him. He's such a treasure. Also I love him saying his website is archeological. I almost want to call it an art installation.
Beautiful nugget of gold on the internet. I've never seen Bill go this in-depth into his work and process in this form, great job!
How can such mania energy be contained in one place
It's crazy that Bill is an actual real person
I pressed play and two seconds later the 46 mins were done. Amazing interview from a small channel, carry on, you're doing fantastic. Bill is really a fascinating character
Bill is really good at using his hands when talking
Good job being supportive with Bill in the beginning, he seemed to get very comfortable a few minutes
Bill is one of my musical heroes.
Clearly a musical genius and on the spectrum... Love you Bill! ❤ Thank you for doing this interview. Please do more. Work that social muscle. 💪

There was a moment I really love from his questions page. Someone essentially asked if he was on the spectrum and his reply was, "Let's just say when I am getting my ducks in a row I stack them vertically", or something to that effect.
dude you are a phenomenal interviewer !! this might be the best bill interview out there, such a gem :DDD
It's worrying how much amazement and interest I can have in one person. Thank you so much for this episode
What a great conversation. I think a Bill Wurtz show would be awesome, so definitely keep it up!
I wish he was more confident with just sharing his thoughts instead of trying to please/ do what is usual. He's weird and that's why we like him. And we would want to fully hear his thought process without breaks.
@Owenrobot

I don't think he's trying to please people, I think he's just weighing what the most effective responses are in this format of entertainment. he completes all the thoughts he means to, at least.

27:54 wow, there are certain people that are just brilliant in the way that their mind works and those people i love to just look at and study their insights

if youre high and watch this you either understand everything or nothing
Bill is a genius
It sounds like Bill might benefit from hearing about superior canal dehiscence syndrome based on the beginning of the interview where he gets all flustered because of a loud noise and his admitted discomfort being interviewed. It's a common comorbidity of autism and ADHD, but it's not yet well known. In SCDS, holes in the skull make the brain perceive sounds as the body moving, causing people to become dysregulated or confused when they're exposed to loud sounds or when they have to speak loudly themselves! SCDS is treatable by correcting the mineral deficiencies that cause it (neurodivergent bodies are more susceptible to mineral deficiencies)
was so fun to watch this live
28:25 - there's a difference between these two meanings, hence why it can get confusing - people can like the songs for their own reasons and this way have a meaningful connection to it, but the meaning they might be asking is the meaning inside the track, not their own connection or interpretation
I love bill wurtz
Bill Wurtz please start a podcast :)

very cool to see Bill Wurtz on a thing in the world. Bummed though to see that you don't have any links to him or his stuff in your video description. Even in a situation where you have way fewer subscribers than the guest, you really should link to your guest. I'm here as a Bill Wurtz fan, so I know his site. this interview made me want to look at it again, because he mentioned adding things since I looked at it last. why do you not have that website linked in the description or on the screen? you have links to bullshit sound effects you use, but not the subject of your interview? Again, good interview generally- and I'm glad to see Bill talking about his stuff. Keep the grind going, your not doing bad work. But please do better. Link your guest before shilling your own stuff. you will shill your things on every video. If you are blessed with good guests, they will tell their friends if you send them a lot of traffic. shill for your guest a bit more, as more and more interesting guests will justify even more videos to sell your own merch on.

I known your giving criticism, but that’s no reason to be a condescending prick about it, perhaps he forgot to link his stuff, perhaps he feel he doesn’t need to cause he thinks that the people that are watching this video already knows who the guest is because who the fuck care about watching a interview of someone unknown
