True indeed! My mom passed on the same day as he, April 3. I said look at momma...she exits with Bill...and I thought of the song "Ain't no Sunshine when She's Gone".

Always been a fan of the music but I never knew Bill was a riot too!

Look for his speech at the rock'n roll hall of fame induction, it was by far the best acceptance speech i've ever listen too. And pay attention to his last sentence.

He's not underrated at all lol

Bill Wither was a classic musicians & regrets that I never had an opportunity to view a live performance. He will be truly missed.

Was not a fan of Withers music as a kid, but now I get it...genius! Soul Shadows, Lonely Town, Lonely Street, Who is He and What is He to You? And of course all the classic tunes everybody knows.

A true legend...icon in music forever. Wot an underated artist. Amazing musician,song writer and man of his convictions...true respect for this wonderful man. He walked away from music wen they tried to package him into something he wasn't going to be. We have missed out on much more of his music. But he stood by his convictions. This world lost the sunshine the day he went away. RIP BILL ,rest easy and you truly deserve biggest respect. Miss you already, Bill 'we wish you love' xx

Christmas New Years had a week off and would hit a little club most nights and each time they'd play at least 2 Withers tunes. And everyone there was smiling. Condolences to his family and friends. RIP Mr. Withers.

I watched Elgin Baylor play live in the Old Madison Square Garden in New York City. A basketball genius who could spin in the lane and make the two pointer off the backboard. A Wizard on the court!

The moral of the story : no matter what business you are in , take time to sit down with your brothers & sisters ,that’s is called solidarity. I love to see our leaders share these beautiful moments.

I love Kareem! He's so humble and kind - even how he sits: trying to take up as little space as possible so that others may be comfortable.

Loved this and Jerry West's speech, too.

You know... I really loved this mans music. But another thing that occurs to me as I enjoy Bill’s speech is that he could have gone toe to toe, word for word with one of my favorite funny men of all time, Redd Foxx. RIP Bill.

Shaq has had a fabulous life meeting all of these legends....including the late Wilt Chamberlain.

As a person who born not to far from Bil was in southern WV I have a tremendous respect for this man .To go from Slab Fork WV to the rock and roll Hall of Fame

The next Laker to recieve a Statue has to be a Super Fucking Player. Can you imagine how many Great Super Dupper Players are there now. You got the 1st Michael Jordan in Elgin Baylor who won a Ring. Jerry West who not only won a Ring but is on the NBA Logo. You got Kareem that not only won 5 NBA Rings,but also multiple College and HS Championships. They even out lawed Dunking in College for a time because Kareem was to easily dominating the competion. The you got Shaq Daddy and Kobe. To even be mentioned in the same breath of those Players you have to be way above special. You have to be a God of Da Game. Good luck with that.
