The absolute BEST video I’ve ever seen. Great point of view. Brilliant paddling, man.

Beautiful lines and style for miles. Seriously committing spot: walled in, no eddies, slimy moss... pretty much impossible to run safety or climb out to backtrack and affect a rescue if someone comes a cropper. Big stones running that in a half-slice! I'm too old and fat to scare myself on that sort of stuff these days. Great video!

Looks like a fun little river. Super senic too! If I had money, I'd be there in an instant! Better be glad I don't have money. New Zealand needs another loud American like it needs a nuclear meltdown. Besides, I'd probably really like it and be tempted to overstay both my welcome and my visa. Good thing you guys are such good videographers. This way I can enjoy New Zealand's whitewater vicariously. If I were going down that gorge, I wouldn't know whether to kayak or stare. It' looks just that gorgeous. I'd have to take overnight gear because there's no way I'd want to rush scenery like that. Thanks for sharing! Who is the lady who apparently died, and what happened to her? I feel sorry for her little boy. He's too young to be without a mommy. Poor little child. I hope he has a good dad, or some kind relatives who care for him and are helping him through those important developmental years of life. Precious little darling.

Her name was Lou Jull. She drowned on the lower gorges in 2015. The kid is my little brother not her child. He's fine haha

Certain locations are rough, rocky and woody man. But enjoyable. Be safe, kayak safe.

Awesome video man! Live up here in Alaska, but been to NZ maybe 6 times to paddle, that's a fun river for sure! Gotta get back down to Hokitika for some fly-in creek runs before too long, miss it there.

What is that mount on the stern of the boat? A great POV and would be excellent for a 360 camera. You could get your action and that of your mates behind you and then choose what to focus on in editing or just post the whole thing and viewers can look all around. I never thought I would love 360 video so much. I used to carry about 5 or so GoPros and now mostly default to my Insta360 camera and. GoPro backup.
