In a world overfilled with disconnection and negativity, CBS Sunday Morning restores my faith in the better part of humanity. Thank you Bill Geist. Your work over the years has been a gift which we can only return with genuine appreciation and the fact that you've connected us in ways we could not otherwise do. Vaya con Dios amigo

Like the Last Supper made entirely of dryer lint (03:30). Bill had a knack at finding the obscure and bizarre. And yes, so many that we've never even seen.
Enjoy your retirement Mr.Geist. Thanks for the memories.
I love the man. So fun and kind!
You've been a welcomed guest in my home for so many Sundays that it is hard to imagine a Sunday Morning without my well traveled friend. Thank you, Bill. I wish for you a long and happy retirement. Thank you, Bill. Goodbye.
Don’t know whether to laugh or cry. “It’s probably one of those moments when you should be thinking something. Yeah.”
I'm glad the Heart Attack Grill was included in this story....was my absolute ALL TIME FAVORITE Bill Geist moment!! I still fondly think about it too and smile.....Bill will be Missed Big Time......Cheers Everyone
Thanks, Bill Geist.
Thank you Mr Geist for taking us all along on your journeys.. Sunday morning won’t be quite the same.. ❤️ and I echo a comment below, please create a Playlist dedicated to Bill Geist. And for that matter, one for both of the Charles.

Bill was my favorite on the show. I'll miss him so much. Best wishes to him!
Such a legend.
The best part of Sunday Morning.
Don't retire Bill! We still need you!
Thank you Bill Geist. I've enjoyed you through the years, and now enjoy your son Willie every Sunday as well. Go Well.
This whole video is a very interesting look into rural America. I love it.
We will miss you! Your segments were delightful, and I really enjoyed your book "Way Off the Road"; in fact, I bought several copies for family members in addition to my own. Thank you for your wonderful work! Enjoy your retirement!
No matter where my life travels took me, the Bill Geist segments always reminded me of the small town I launched from. Thank you, Bill
Thanks for everything, Bill!
Thanks for taking me to places so unique and fun. When I came to this country I asked a friend to show me America. She didn’t know what I meant. You showed me America and I loved every minute of it. Thanks for the memories. You will be missed. Enjoy your retirement. Peace
Oooooh for the good old days of watching "Sunday Mornings" with Charles Kuralt & Bill Geist & Postcards from Nebraska, while chowing down on my Sunday breakfast!
Billy I hope no one in family reads this because I rarely miss them....but I miss you on Sundays. THANK YOU for making me fall in love w CBS Sunday morning 14 years ago. 🙏🏾❤
Bill Geist - an American TREASURE. What a stand-up guy. I wish you all the best upon your retirement and I hope we will see glimpses of you in the future when you feel like Blessing us with your presence. Thanks so much for everything. You made me smile, laugh and cry (good cry - not ugly cry). You, sir, are wonderful. :)
It's been a pleasure Bill, happy retirement!

Hello there?
Always made me laugh and smile since I was a kid, loved watching these small towns. Thanks Bill, hope your next chapter is just as fun and fulfilling!
I grew up in Iowa watching this show most sundays before church-and many bill geist segments stuck with me over the years. Especially the one where he visits our hometown bull. I remember being proud that our small town made it on national tv. Thanks for sharing the untold stories from faraway corners of the USA over the years!
💖 Thank you for all the silly fun and interesting visits. I hope this is just a celebration and not good bye😟

You will be missed! It's been great fun over the years, thanks for the great memories!
Thank you for all the great memories Mr. Geist, and like my father, thank you for serving in Vietnam. I am 55, and I watched most of your segments over the years. You really had a way of connecting with everyday Americans and your viewers.
What a trip down Memory Lane. It was unexpected and heartwarming. I loved that show and watched faithfully, even if I was just coming home from a 16+ hours shift. Thank you ALL for the memories!
Hats off to you Bill!
Thanks so much, what a great life of giving. Enjoy the rest of your life. :-)

Charles Kuralt was Sunday Morning for me which is why Bill Geist was so good, he carried on Charles wonder for the Road.
I could never replace Bill, but I'd love to carry on his legacy, CBS Sunday Morning! Bill, you will be missed!!
❤️him for many years and he will be missed. Thank you for the entertainment. Much happy retirement
Thank you Bill. This Sunday Morning nerd will miss seeing you on air. Best of luck.
What a treat to see the US through Bill's eyes. It will be fun to look through all these old episodes at times when the current realities are hard to bear. It dawned on me, part-way through...could he be Willie Geist's dad? Soon that was confirmed when a young Willie popped his head in, looking for a ride from his dad, at maybe 15 yrs old.
I always looked forward to Bill Geist segments.
I always looked forward to Bill Geist on Sunday Mornings. He brought humor and humanity to all his subjects and treated everyone with respect despite their culture and background. I miss seeing him to this day. God bless you Mr. Geist.
Best wishes on your retirement!!!!
So much fun to watch this. Thank you so much!
You've been successful, Bill. We're gonna miss having you on Sunday Morning. You've actually made that show enjoyable to watch, in the over 30 years you've been there. The one story about the time where you went to the Heart Attack Grill in Arizona was one to never forget, so I appreciate that, too. Remember like it was yesterday and I'm glad you survived that Quadruple Bypass, too. So, Bill, Farewell and all the best to you and your whole family.
Grew up watching CBS Sunday Morning won't be the same without you!
Love ya bill. Thank you 👍😁
Gonna miss ya, Bill.
Please don't stop altogether. You're segments are terrific.

Loved your work at the suburban trib, in the suburbs of Chicago. So nice to see all your great success.
Thanks for the memories. ☺💟
So, nice!!!!!!! Thank you for those Sunday Morning Shows....
You were part of a Wonderful Peaceful Sunday Morning which unfortunately is no more. Jane Pauley has just turned this into another news magazine show and it has lost its charm. Mr. Giest you were a BIG part of that and I thank you.
Thanks......

Hello there?
Wow awesome thanks
I'm sharing this on facebook - so my Daughter can see it. She just lost her Mother to suicide. In 2013 - she lost her Sister - to suicide. I want her to see this - to show her … how this great man lived - being silly and enjoying life to the fullest. So - hopefully she can do the same … have a reason to live - as she occasionally threatens suicide. Thank You - CBS Sunday Morning. Thank You - Bill Geist.
Congratulations Mr. Geist🎉
You will be missed. Enjoy retirement.
Thank you Bill for decades of wonderful pieces!!!! Enjoy your retirement!!

The nerds nerd! With a sense of humor. Judging from the clip, I would have thought his son would follow in the same nerdy footsteps. However somehow Willy is almost cool!
In his younger years, Bill Geist could have been cast as a real life Ned Flanders for a real life Simpsons movie.
Damn. Sorry you retired, Mr. Geist. Hope you're having more fun anyway.
I swear, Ned Flanders was based on Bill Geist.
By the way, Bill that four corners monument is at the wrong spot. Been at the wrong spot for decades! 😆 😎
chet atkins playing in the background
Surely Ned Flanders of the Simpsons is based on Bill Geist.
*No!*
