I love when someone can make such an awesome replica of an iconic prop, space ship, etc., out of found items and have it turn out as amazing as this Robby did. Fantastic work!!!!

Yeah Bill is not only a very talented Elvis tribute artist. He’s a very talented artist.

So cool, love it. Bill really did a wonderful job on building this icon Robbie the robot. And also love him as Elvis Presley, great voice. He's got Elvis just about down to a tee.

This was an amazing, inventive and resourceful way to DIY Robbie the Robot. Thanks for sharing, Bill Cherry and the interviewer too! Great job!

The man is a genius. Love how he used found parts to create a wonderful replica!

Yay very cool Bill Cherry is my favorite ETA and he's an awesome friend. Been wanting to see his record shop but it is five hours away. Someday thanks for the share though I feel like I got to see it in spirit now. Bill's so talented the robot he built is bad ass but of course he use to be a welder so his invasive and great at putting stuff together too.

That is so cool !. Forbidden Planet is my favourite all time sci-fi movie and Robby is just the best robot of all time. I'm 3d printing a full size Robby of my own now as I type, it'll take a while but I'll get there. Well done !.

What a great model and amazing to think what it's made from. I was disappointed that he didn't get to tell us where the dome is from. It's a shame because that is probably the hardest part to source/make on the whole model. We are surrounded by shaped objects that we could use for most of Robby but we rarely see clear domes that would suit the model.

I could not build such a thing, so who am I to complain. The salad bowl for the legs, idea is great. But a little sanding to remove the seams, and some putty would have been nice to make them smooth. But still, if that thing showed up on my doorstep as a gift, how could I complain?
