Latinas from which country, culture or ethnicity? There are at least 20 countries with Spanish as their native language in the Americas (and Spain, of course), all with very different cultures, local customs, different types of Spanish, with native influence, with exclsuively European influence, etc.).

There's no such thing as "Latino culture", specially if one of her parents are Argentinian. Argentinians, like Uruguayans, are very western (so in a way, closer culturally to the US or central Europe, than to the Caribbean, Central America or most of Mexico). There's also no specific race, color or ethnicity associated to the made up term. I hated that when I was a teen living in the US, being into metal and rock and looking or sounding nothing like the stereotypes, a lot of other Hispanic people even spoke to me in English first if theu didn't know me, which I found strange.

I wouldn't say 'terrible' she is doing what she was told to do in a sincere manner, as herself, as a 10th grader.

What about your luck of empathy? She's 15 years old in front of a big audience. She's being quite brave if you ask me. Stop judging so harshly.
