Bilge Pump Installation in Hobie 8" Twist & Seal Hatch
This video briefly describes the installation procedure for installing a bilge pump in any boat using a Hobie 8" Twist & Seal Hatch. This includes all Hobie kayaks, including the Hobie Tandem Island, Adventure Island, and Outback. I sell the kit to mount the bilge pump and float switch. It requires no drilling, glue or adhesives and has been proven to work in an ocean environment.
You need to purchase all other materials, including the bilge pump and float switch, power source (battery), wiring, waterproof box for the battery, bilge pump hose and discharge thru-hull. At the time this video was made, I sell the bilge pump/float mount for $85 plus shipping at cost. The kit is compatible with Rule 360, 500 and 800 bilge pumps and may work with others but I have not confirmed it myself.

why not showing also the drill in the hull ?

This video wasn't trying to show the entire installation process. That said, I do suggest you use a step drill bit for drilling the thru-hull.

@@tomlewis509 yes but from my point of view it's important to understand the whole thing and a hole in that position of the hull is something that should be considered carefully
