Obstructive Jaundice अक्सर Bile Duct Cancer का एक महत्वपूर्ण संकेत होता है,
Jaundice की diagnosis skin या eyes के tone में परिवर्तन और doctor से consulting करके की जाती है|
गाढ़ा Urine भी यह संकेत देता है कि यह Obstructive Jaundice के कारण है, जो Bile Ducts के bloodstream में failure के कारण होता है
ऐसे cases में, doctor Sonography की सलाह दे सकते हैं जो Liver में मौजूद Cancer का पता लगा सकता है
अगर Cancer Liver के बाहर होता है, तो यह Bile flow को रोक देता है और Bile Ducts को सूजन का कारण बनता है। यह Sonography में साफ़ दिखाई देता है
2:41 MRCP और CT Scan क्या होते हैं?
चूंकि Sonography Bile Duct Cancer को diagnose करने का एक पूर्ण प्रमाणित तरीका नहीं है, इसलिए Doctors आगे के Diagnosis के लिए MRCP या CT Scan की सलाह देते हैं।
कुछ cases में, Doctor additional diagnosis के लिए कुछ Blood Tests भी करते हैं।

आमतौर पर, Bile Duct Cancer में Biopsy की जरूरत नहीं होती है।
कारण यह है कि, Biopsy risky हो सकती है और इससे Misdiagnosis की संभावना भी हो सकती है
इसलिए Doctors FNAC या Biopsy की सिफारिश नहीं करते
Biopsy केवल तभी सिफारिश की जाती है जब Surgery की कोई संभावना न हो।
