If you have time, pick up a Squeeze model from Sawyer. That one you have is notorious for clogging up. Make sure to keep the filter from freezing. If you break a bag, most soda bottles with work with the Sawyer filters as a back up you can source locally.

Another magnificent video Tristan, i thought you must have scored perfect weather, but the scenery is really stunning mate. Sorry to hear that your crook again, probably your tummy hasn't yet got all enzymes needed to battle all the local wogs, Belen may have a stronger constitution than you Tristan, she's a pretty tough little lady and seems to be able to handle the rough stuff pretty well, seeing her pushing her wheels up some pretty steep hills that would knock me around I reckon. First time I’ve seen you guys. Wow, what a beautiful tour thru the mountains. Really like the mellow piano music sound track. That went well with the scenery. Wish I was there but my bicycle touring will have to be confined to the States. Om!

Thank you for your kind words, Daniel! Kyrgyzstan is a beauty, but a tough one. Luckily the US has some more ‘comfort’ infrastructure in between the hard riding. Wishing you nice trails out there!

Thanks Albert! I’m fine now, luckily, and hope that it was a one time only scenario. Nevertheless, I’ll carry much of my own food to avoid getting sick again!

Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬🇰🇬 is truly one of the hidden gem destinations in Asia and safe to say in the world.

Such a nice video. Some of the roads are nearly my weekend ride routes.

Believe it or not, a fried egg probably did it. Skipping those in the SRMR! Also got some electrolyte pills and hardcore Russian anti-toxin stuff to avoid this next time :)

Tristan, how do you film? do you leave your camera, film, and then return to collect the camera? In some scenes, it looks like you need to return a lot, including uphill.

Hey Nicolay. Yes, I film everything like you suggest. Truth is, I’m used to it and don’t mind it every now and then! I will utilize the same tactic at SRMR with fast execution.

It good you got the cnoc bag as i was about to say the mini sayer one is rubbish hard to fill in a stream the cnoc much better
