I clicked on this video without recognizing Alee in the thumbnail, and wonderful to see Alee on a full suspension MTB.

It's been fun to get back on long travel bikes! Going to miss it once I hit the road again...
Thanks for showing us another side of Mexico..beautiful country, beautiful people
Yet another delightful and insightful video, while watching one hopes it will not end....
"Here are some delicious memelas" "Ah, yes...cornbread" lol XD
Very cool natural tracks. Looks like lots of fun. Nice to meet Airy who seems like a really nice guy.
People like you and airy is the major need for this world 🌎❤️ respect
Very cool. That trail make Stromlo bike park trails look like your average suburban street... Awesome
Man, the video looks so fun, I would like to visit to Mexico.There are many great trails.
Hello, my new friend. Wow! It's such a beautiful and healing 💜💕💙 bicycle driving video. Especially, the scenery of nature is fantastic. I'm going to watch your full video. I'm happy to be your great channel friend.❤💞💗 Have a lucky 💜💕💙 day. 👍👍👍🤙👌

Gary Clark Jr tech! That've been the hell of music adventure!
It’s a brilliant mood clip which shows the beauty of riding bikes in the wilderness. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

What a great video of such remote territory, thank you for all the effort it took to produce this fine video.

Guitar tech for Gary Clark Jr then gets to ride Oaxaca.
Amazing video always! From a film-making standpoint, I wish you included suspension travel close-ups! I love your shirt!
Watched some of your videos before, but I had no idea you are into enduro. Nice video.
Amazing adventure, beautiful place and great people in the midst of it !! :) Congratulations !! :) Best wishes for you!! :)
great vid Mexico rocks, i could live there too
Well done.
Very good!
With the bikes packed like that? Gnaaarly! :D
Looks good!
That's one of a trail.. you're a good rider
Great video Allee, great video. The track at 16:10 looked STEEP! Balls of steel. Fabulous drone, fauna and flora shots. Looks like a great place to ride. Have you sold your Koga touring bike?
was cool seeing you fly on your full suspension
I can't believe you are riding alone in remote areas in Oaxaca. I did this once and got only 1km away from the tourist bus station on the overlook and was surprised to suddenly meet two ladrones (street thugs) with long knieves who took all my possessions and the expensive camera in my backpack. On the next excursions I joined an organized group. And they always had a security guy with a big shotgun.
I’d be terrified to drink straight from the stream, though it looks so deliciously clean.

Awesome video
if you ever come to Michoacan let me know man, is a bit far from oaxaca but theres many amaizing enduro trails and lots of places to bikepack
Really good
Another great video from Oaxaca! Will they let your ride and shoot in the some of the archeological sites like Monte Alban? There are also so many wonderful Zapotec villages around Oaxaca that you could show us too :)
Dear Alee, hope you have already resumed your cycling from tip of Chile to Alaska !!! Best wishes !!
Just donated a few $ on PayPal. Thanks for all the amazing content!
Wow Allee-that was so kewl seeing you shred on a mountain bike 🚵. As usual you were riding on a trail that wasn't always a trail. 🙃 When you went down the gnarly slope I thought of riders on the White Line in Sedona. No margin for error ⚠️. Nice job & your companion is a neat guy! 👍☮️🌞🌟🏔🚵🏼♂️🚴♂️

Slowly?! I went straight from a rigid touring bike to an enduro bike. 😅
I'm curious about what you've got packed. Looks like almost nothing. Would definitely watch or read anything you put up on this. I have slowly started putting bags on my xc fs bike while learning in pretty challenging Southern California terrain. This is very inspiring to see you bikepacking this kind of amazing terrain.
Очень красиво!
I know you are a lot more experienced and fit than I am, but one thing I do know is that those climbs would have been much easier with your suspension locked out :P
awesome channel Awesome channel. What was your motivation behind wearing that patterned shirt?
Great as always!! Are u waiting out the pandemic in Mexico? U have been there a while since your injury, yes?
@Cyclingabout
2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I am waiting for the world to be more open. I have not been injured at all here.
So, circa 5,000ft drop in less than 5 miles? Subbed.
Hi mate, what do you think about pannier racks for FS bikes? I am about to spring A$340 for a Thule Tour rack (P/N Thule 100090), complete with the side frames, and the Thule Shield 13L bags. Max load for the rack is 11 Kg, I will aim to keep the load at 10Kg. I will be using it on my 2014 Giant Trance Advanced 140/140, here in Australia. Also, when are you coming down here to check out the rides?
Alee the ShReDDeR
Doesn't really look like you NEED 170mil, but definitely looks like you need some good brakes.
What top tube bag do you use? It seemed to stay in place very well.

What rear sus is that? Seems rigid enough when pedalling uphill. Got a lockout or just toying with the air presure and compression settings?
@Cyclingabout
2 жыл бұрын
Airy has a compression lockout, I just max out my rebound so the shock barely moves at a high cadence.
@agunlogisteam
2 жыл бұрын
@@Cyclingabout nice to know that Alee.... I'm a very light person (47kgs) and using old fox float rp23, even with 150psi, rebound at the max the shock still bobs when I'm pedalling uphill. Still need to find the optimal setup then 😁
Gut mantap mister
Any video soon 🇵🇷💯
I just had a question- do you keep your camera far back then ride (referring to the old cross south america trip ). Those wide angle shots where you ride ahead and the camera is behind. Or do you use a drone.

Are you not riding KOGA anymore?
You’re not worried about Giardia or other parasites in unfiltered water?
Do you have a gimbal on the camera? How does the image not tremble on the shot from the biker’s point of view?
@Cyclingabout

The GoPro Hero 9 has amazing in-camera stabilisation. I don't use a gimbal... and this isn't even the "hypersmooth" mode.

How do you know what water is safe to drink? Because it's Mexico just none of it?
@kippywylie
2 жыл бұрын
Very easy to find drinking water as in every town the is always a person selling branded purified filtered water. Even the local population rarely drinks tap water. It's also common to see convenience stores with Evian or other waters
Where is your Pinion?
Where are the snakes?
👏👏🙏🙏🙏
What is your verdict on cycling with backpacks? Especially your riding partners backpackpack looks way to heavy for riding an entire day.

I found it really raises the center of gravity and the sweaty back sucks. I now wear a 5L hip pack w/ 2.5L bladder.

Only use a backpack if you have to. For Airy, it was a quick solution to come on a trip with me. For me, it's the best way to keep my camera gear protected.
Do you put something in the water? Tablets of some sort?

Pretty trail but, I'd have to disagree with the trail assessment. I'd run said trail on my rigid steel rig and just walk anything that was outside my general XC/Trail oriented comfort zone. That trail looks a lot like what i ride in the Peavine Range or Sierras; rocky, lots of vertical miles, hard-pack, DG, and 'moon-dust' on hard-pack when dry. I also run a 2.8(f)/2.6(r) which helps with the worst of the trail's insults. Also, unless a deal-breaker shows up, i might be moving to Cholula this Summer. I just hope the local mountain-biker community (in Mexico in general) is far friendlier and far less elitist than what passes for one here in Reno/the U.S.(!). Kind of tired of rich snobs on Clone Carbon f.s. bikes who forget the hippie NorCal/Boulder, Colorado roots/spirit of the sport..!
