I have a little boat I can tow with the bike and it's just big enough to take a bike on board. Have yet to go on some sort of adventure with it but I use it often in the summer locally. Heavy but far safer than these inflatables.

Don't want to spoil the fun but this video is promoting something that could potentially be quite dangerous. Those inflatables are unsuitable for the crossings. They consist of only a single air chamber, puncture and your bike and stuff is gone to the bottom of the sea. You'll be left with no other flotation than the life jacket you'll hopefully be wearing. If this is in the middle of a mile or more crossing then good luck swimming to the shore. Also the high sided flat bottomed design of the rafts makes them difficult to manage in any sort of wind. It may appear calm when setting off but the weather can change quickly. These sorts of crossings between islands need to be taken seriously. I know because I have lived in the area for most of my life. Please don't promote this as a fun thing anyone can do because there are things you need to be aware of. Not even a mention about safety in this video.

Never did a packrafting trip, but can't wait for my bike touring trip, next year in may, across scotland including arran, islay and skye🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Totally agree. I get it, that records are something to hunt, but I don’t get it to cycle through places of the world where you’ll never go again and just rush through. So yeah, I am definitely the Jenny faction and not the Mark. (Although I do enjoy his 80 days around the world video), but I think a 1 year around the world video by Jenny would be even better.

One of the best GCN videos on KZread to date. I'm surprised this wasn't published on GCN+, the production and quality it's amazing. Outstanding job, GCN, Manon, Jenny!!

My favorite GCN shows are thier relax epic rides. However, Jenny and Manon just raised the Bar on the other presenters. By far, this is the most epic ride I have seen to date! Cheers Ladies that was perfect, Thank you.

The cinematography of this video is top notch, and having Manon and Jenny makes it better. Congratulations GCN for the great job!

This was a lot of fun to watch! And, 'great job' to whoever did the video work on this! The framing of the two of them in the waiting area for the ferry was very nicely done!

An absolute joy to watch! It's easy to get into 'How Far?' or 'How Fast?' - but rarely into 'What have you done you've never done before?', 'What have you seen you've never seen before?', and, 'How much joy did you get out of it?'. Loved it.

Good point about less, how far and how fast. More of fun, enjoyment , smell the roses, make friends with others and enjoy life.

Another fabulous film featuring Manon and Jenny. Such fun, beautiful sights, laughter, and enjoyment of every experience. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Scotland with Manon and Jenny, or, any place they choose to travel.

Way to go Manon! Scenery reminds me of my home in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. At least the rain made it look like you had to "tough out" some of the elements. Great video by the production team.

Kudos to editors and scenic drone shots. The whole coverage had a Micheal Palin vibe to it. Next level from GCN 👌

Actually, there is more than one Michael Palin vibe, not just his travel movies... the castle on the island in the loch that the girls floated past is Castle Stalker, which was featured in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which Palin starred in.

These are my favourite Manon videos. Jenny takes her just far enough out of her comfort zone to make this awesome viewing. Pair that with the scenery, these are just wonderful to watch. The mix of Welsh and Scottish accents is also just musical. Manon, you’re such a trooper. Good on you for broadening your biking horizons in such an adventurous way. Jenny, I hope you keep pushing Manon’s limits. This is becoming one of my favourite GCN presenter pairings.

OMG I LOVE IT!! They are sooo great together. Manon is becoming an animal out their, Jenny's a good teacher. I have a packraft but never tried lashing my bike on it. My favorite modes of transportation do not involve a car.

So, so lyrically beautiful; I'm blown away by Scotland's natural beauty, as well as the enthusiasm and vibrancy of Manon and Jenny in presenting this video! Keep it up, and I hope to see more of this dynamic duo in future videos!

Entering the ferry with her mask on and the paddle shafts over her shoulders, Manon looks like a cut rate ninja from a "B" movie. I'm glad they're enjoying themselves though. It's a beautiful area.

More of Jenny and Manon on bikepacking adventures please! I’ve been looking at ways of towing my wooden canoe with a little folding bike but maybe I should just use my cyclocross bike if you can fit it on a little pack raft!

We definitely need more of Jenny and Manon together. This video brings back lots of memories for me, never been to Lismore but MV Loch Striven was the Largs - Cumbrae ferry for years when I used to go to doon the watter to Millport as a child!

That was a really inspirational film, with wonderful camera work & great presenters. Well done GCN.

I did it lots of times this summer, down a salmon river in northern Norway. Cycled on tarmac with my road bike a couple of hours and paddled back home with the bike on the packraft. It was great.

If you are as stoked on this combo as I am, the book "The Bikerafting Guide" is a really incredible resource for info, history and great stories to get you as stoked as Jenny. I have really loved using it as a resource. Glad this sort of adventure is getting great coverage!

That looks fantastic, what a combination kayaking and cycling in amazing scenery.

Great video, really enjoyed that. Makes me long to get back to the home country and tour the coast side again. Feel free to come over here to Canada where we have 10's of thousands of lakes to paddle on (and without jelly fish!) and more forest than you could imagine.

I thought of this a few years ago, but I'd never seen anyone do it. I was on a bike trip, and I was following some rivers, and saw people rafting and thought, "I'd love to combine what I'm doing with what THEY are doing!" Didn't know they made inflatables that pack down so small! Definitely going to have to look into that. Thank you for making this video!
