"Dry humor" is my favorite kind of comedy. Kellen delivering very original, dry humor in (appropriately) a dry bar. The bit about a bike lock and Baskin Robins was hilarious, then every joke after that just got funnier. I thoroughly enjoyed this, couldn't stop laughing. Thanks, Kellen Erskine for the short vacation and Thank you Dry Bar Comedy, for featuring him.

It is not that original. I saw other people do that joke too. That does not mean that he or the other people stole it, but it is not too hard to come up with especially this joke. Kinda like almost anybody can come up with a joke about washingmachines eating socks like Seinfeld did.

His little half smile is so chaotic. It's like he's trying not to laugh, but also trying to resist the urge to just rip someone's arms off. I love it. Major middle school science teacher vibes.

This is the quiet guy at the party who rips the whole room apart with 1 line when there is a moment of silence, love his humor 😂

His timing and understated delivery were impeccable, his improv skills when he worked the audience were impressive and every joke landed. I mean I actually replay the baby monitor joke three and four times like a song I really like. One of the best sets I've seen by any comedian ever.

This guy is hilarious but he isn't nearly the quickest if you want a quick comedian who doesn't even have sets he just interacts and riffs the audience then check out Andrew Schultz

this guys is legit. love a comedian that's super funny without swearing or telling sex or race jokes the whole time. not that i don't like that kind of comedy too, i just think it's so much harder to make "clean" comedy funny. but Kellen kills it easy without resorting to the usual way to get crowd reactions.

I’m still sad no one in the audience went to UC Santa Cruz. The Banana Slugs has to be the only example of a college mascot showing how little they give a sh*t about athletics, and I absolutely love that. My brother joined the ‘Banana Slug Track Team’ just to give me the free t-shirt. He got access to a free track, and I finally got a shirt that realistically reflects how fast I run. My high school PE teacher was the only one nonplussed by it. But what else do you expect from a middle-aged guy who paints his entire face like a tiger every Friday night unironically?

I've watched this show several times now. Erskine's laid back delivery seems fresh, and consistently funny, every time.

"that guy thinks high school mattered" might be the single greatest line I have ever heard in comedy. :D

He actually had the balls to ask a question to the audience. That means he has to improvise. Not a lot of comedians would do that.

Well yeah but most of the time I imagine comedians hire people to sit in the audience and give a predetermined answer the comedian can write a joke about. I was watching a Jimmy Carr special and someone said they were afraid of spiders. Jimmy followed it up with a picture on the screen of someone who had been killed by a spider, and the spider was right next to the person in the picture. How would he have known to put that picture in the slideshow if the answer to his question. was random?

This guy's improv is on par with someone who can tell the future. He seems to be able to make a bloody decent joke out of anything on the spot.

That was a really clever bit and i dont deny that, but you can see him a moment before picking the bottle just holding it on the table waiting for the clapping to near the end to make that bit.

Laugh out loud with tears rolling down your face during the entire set funny. Kellen is my favorite comedian. His sarcasm let’s us see how hilarious everyday things are & is totally relatable. His delivery, timing, and interaction and improv with the audience take stand up to the next level. Pure genius comedy gold. Can’t wait to see more from him.

Watched it 2X...loved his material and delivery!

I love how he moves from saying that leaving a cart in a parking spot is the "most selfish thing you can do", to telling us to take someone else's groceries that they have "gathered".

Like, rather than, "people are selfish, let's steal their groceries" to "I think leaving your shopping cart is selfish, and I take other people's gathered groceries. Like, his words are clearly indicating the former, but I can't help but think he's saying the latter. Even though I KNOW he's just being spiteful, in that example.

Someone locked my bike with his lock.. i tried and called the police to unlock it for me, but since I couldn't proove on the spot, that this old bike belonged to me (I bought it used from a collegue) all they did was add ANOTHER Police-lock to the already twofold locked bike... Crazyness!

Top of the game comedy, and beyond that there is 'ask the audience' which is the pinnacle, so hard, and he is so good with it. One of the funniest comedians I've seen here. Dry Bar really does find the best.

Brilliant. A good comedian can ad lib, and he was soooo sharp with it. Great timing too. Hope he becomes a big success.

asking the audience a question and then actually using what they gave you in such a way as the valentines question is masterful. Love his pace and timing.

The way he delivers is insane. It's incredibly subtle, but the design of the joke hits you like a truck. The Battleship bit is absolutely hilarious. "They should just call it number-letter. It's bingo with toys on it" So good.

Part of his success with crowd interaction is his slow delivery from the start. It gives him time to think and you don't notice the difference.

@@gmosiej The states on the west side, the left, are much, much larger than the right. the joke is basically saying that as you go further to the right its like they ran out of room to make states, so they started squeezing them in.
