This looks like a good board for a Voron Salad Fork if CANbus or USB is used for the extruder. The Salad Fork needs 6 drivers (ABZZZE), so 5 on the E3EZ and one more on the toolhead board will cover it. This board is a bit smaller than the similar M5P. The Salad Fork 160 is small so space is limited and this is about as small as it gets for a Klipper setup with 5-6 motors. It would also be a good Klipper upgrade for a Prusa MK3 or Bear to provide independent Z with a compact footprint. It would be a reasonable choice for the Voron Switchwire as well though the M4P or SKR Pico would have enough drivers in that situation.

While I like this board and I was considering it I wonder how it would fair in an enclosure. It is one thing to lose an skr mini, but if this board died it would be like losing both the skr mini and raspberry pi in one go. I think I might just buy another skr mini.

That is one of the issues with all in one expensive products… they are convenient only for people who don’t think about the money 💰As I got it for free I can’t put myself in your skin and fully grasp the idea of this board dying.

    Did it work without cb1

I only tested it with CM4 and CB1 modules, not fully sure why you need one if you use it without a module. Whole benefit of this board in this feature. There are cheaper board available if you need same functionality but without CB1 or CM4.

@@hobbyistnotes I cooked my board yesterday on my ender 3v2. Express shipped this one here. I wish they would bite the drivers are not even included. Looks like I’m about to spend the same amount as the board on drivers and the cb1. I didn’t really intend on taking this printer this far. I was just trying to change my hotend wiring, this is getting expensive. Does the cb1 have onboard wifi at least?

@@howaboutnowdad4582 Yes CB1 has onboard Wi-FI, I guess it might be possible to use Manta board without CB1 via usb connection, but it's just an educated guess (I haven't tested it)

@@hobbyistnotes yeah like you said it seems to be the main feature. I haven’t see anyone without a cb1 so why be the only person. The ender is about to go Mercedes mode I guess

@@howaboutnowdad4582 Funny that for most people who spent money on Ender 3 journey finishes at conversion to Switchwire.
