Bro. This is helpful info. It's definitely a scooper of sorts.. Thanks!
great tutorial, love how you go in-depth on the little details of the bs bigspin. This video was extremely helpful!!!!! Please keep making more content like this!!!!
Thanks dude! it really helped
I learned how to bigspin because of this video. Thank you so much. I'm so hyped on it.
Very well explained in only 5 mins. Thank you, gonna try to implement this tips today.
Really enjoying these keep it up brother
It actually works thanks g
Thanks for the tips bro, really informative & about to go try and get some down at the park right now. Also digging the Jack Russell terrier lol I have one too and he is pushing 20 years old this year they are great dogs 👊🏾
Nice! Perfect timing, I kept trying to do a regular shuvit and then reverting the last 180, but I could only get 270. This scooping is way better, I just gotta get over the fear that I'll land primo!

You can do it! The more pressure you apply to the scoop, the straighter your board will stay. The front foot is also kept just above the board, in order to keep it from flipping. I used to do that shuv to revert as well.
Bro your a huge help just landed 5 today because of your tutorial 🤞

Brooks Productions sick! I hope these help and good luck with your videos.
You touch on em here but would love a video talking about back 180s. Thanks for all the help and inspiration!
I'm an old skater, middle aged, I never learned To To do anything more than cruise comfortably for miles and entire evenings, my friends however could only and halfpipe, and really skate, , Your video just made some things clear, filled in some blanks, thankyou, great explanation...great presentation...keep rollin
Great tutorial, thanks Norman. Particularly how you explained the 2 most common bs 180 techniques. This bigspin is a huge goal for me. I have my bs pop shuvs down. Nice and high too. I struggle with the bs 180 though. I do more of the full movement style (second version) than the ollie into the pivot style (first version). The second version is also how the guy from Skate Hacks does them (his vids are also great btw). It's good to know this version is better for bigspins. I am interested to know what tricks the first version of the bs180 would help with - if any? I am so amped to get this! Thanks!
Owe you all the thanks!
4:10 that dog had enough :D . good tutorial man thanx
Yo Sir, you need to cover the bs bigspin again and Cover commitment. Peace, your my man when learning the good stuff
I’ve been getting fs bigspins lately but I guess it helps that I have those shitty scoop bs 180’s so I’ll try this one.
Unreal I was trying them with no luck then you explained the part about putting your foot in the pocket and syncing the scoop with the windup and I landed it phone in hand tutorial still playing 😂

Thank you. That was my inspiration to start making tutorials. Breaking tricks down with regard for those new to skateboarding.
hey, dude, can you make one on a pop shove-it please
Hey Norman, i like to much bs bigspins and i do them very easily but the problem is when i try to pop them it's hard for me, you know what's wrong? Greetings.

Could be an issue with your scoop. Imagine that you’re pulling your foot through the tail when scooping, and make sure to turn your shoulders and have enough speed.
subbed. also manual tutorial pl0x. great work btw
I like these how to’s better than the ones of you sitting in the house or curb, just seems like more explanation when your on the board teaching us how to… Hope my comments gets threw to you and gets your trick tips more help and thanks for the wisdom anyway!
Cool. This is dad
Do you think you could make a video on how to fall safely or something because my friends tell me I’m stiff sometimes when I fall 😅
@NormanWoods
3 жыл бұрын
First thing is to breathe and try to remain relaxed. You should have your knees bent for all of your tricks, to give you enough leverage to pop well (see my Ollie tutorial). When you feel a loss of balance, or that you’ve missed a trick and will fall: start to crouch (ignoring the natural inclination to stiffen up) and prepare to roll. The crouch and roll will require practice. But luckily skateboarding is 80% falling. I’ve got a sprained ankle. But will add this to the air of videos to make once I’ve healed.

Norman Woods how often do you roll your ankle? I'm honestly tired of how often I roll my ankles it's sometimes every week. I've been skating for two years maybe i'm doing something wrong?
@NormanWoods

KXV I’m recovering from one now. It’s the first I’ve had in ten years. But, the first three or four years, I sprained them a lot. It’s a rite of passage. Try a longer board, with a wheelbase wide enough that when you land bolts your legs are shoulder width apart. Bigger board, and shoes that weren’t as bulky is about when I stopped rolling my ankles.

Norman Woods oh yeah i saw that ankle roll on your insta! I hope you get well soon and thanks! It really helps knowing i'm not the only one 🙏🏻

Is a bigspin just a shuvit combined with a body varial?
@NormanWoods

Board does a 360° shuv it. Body moves 180°, in the same direction as the board.
@f.i.o.n.n3552

@@NormanWoods so basically a double shuv it?

@@f.i.o.n.n3552body never turns during a shuv it. So definitely not a double shuv it.
