I'm 85 now and have never seen this movie but I thoroughly enjoy it.
how can anyone not love this movie? all the stunts are real, all the aircraft stuff is real, all the scenes are practical effects, the acting is great, the male leads are charming, the female leads are beautiful, great cinematography. people say its a rip off of back to the future, for me its better than back to the future!
As a kid, I read the 65 novels-and a couple of the Worrals novels. This is a halfway decent addition to the Oeuvre. Excellent, even if the American actors are a bit lightweight. 9/10
I discovered the Biggles books when I was about 11 years old, and any of the books that I couldn't find at the local library were provided by my next door neighbour, who had the full set. Twas a fantastic escape from the mundane.
I’m 81, bed-bound, and dependent on YT for most of my entertainment. I just got stoned with a fresh vape and watched this. It was an awesome fun way to spend time.

It did seem like a setup for more movies or a series. Oh, 1980’s, why did you tease us all of the time with potential sequels?
Oh gosh. I saw this fun funky film way back in the 80s when I skipped out from work more or less. I was a lowly clerk in a private accounting office who rarely got to leave my office. I had the rare chance of getting a business lunch with a client and after the lunch ended I decided to see a movie at the Mall where I'd just finished that lunch at Western Steer. I was young and playing hooky from work like I'd once done back in high school. Well. I saw this here film Biggles not knowing anything about it. I ended up having the best time enjoying and laughing and was even intrigued by the storyline. The bonus of it all was how I was still getting paid and my salary wasn't docked for that afternoon away from the office. Plus, that nearly sci-fi film, which it was in so many ways, forever stuck in my head for some reason...the title Biggles helped cement it into my brain. This is the first time I've seen it since so many years ago. I'm 62 now and retired but seeing this makes me feel young again. Thanks for bringing it to all of us to see again. It's a hoot and a half from my younger life.
I've been looking for this video for years, decades. I've watched this movie once, when I was not even a teen yet. I had one friend that knew of this movie. The rest thought we were crazy. This is my life now.
My sisters and I actually used to watch this all the time back in 1987. We liked it.
For some reason I thought of this movie just now. I had watched this when I was a kid in the 80’s and never saw it again. Here it is now and it makes me feel like a kid again.
Christmas Eve 1992. i was 10. It was on TV and 30 years alter I am going back in time to my first time watching it. Still a fun movie. Neil Dickson is a lovely chap.

I remember watching this on cable back in the late 1980s. This was back when WWI veterans still walked this Earth. I wondered if they would make a sequel.
I was in 5th or 6th grade in 86-87 when I first saw this on HBO. We had just begun to study history and world wars, I was fascinated. All that became my life, German, Russian, Soviet Union, Hitler, WWI & II, etc and the history behind them all, WOW! Thanks to this movie for playing a role.
I was so excited when this came out, a Biggles movie! I had read some Biggles and was into planes and things. Me and my best friend saw it together on one our special trips to the movie theatres down town with one of our parents.
I loved this! Biggles enjoying his special flying machine! What a lark! And neatly having the Fokker nudge it out of the timeline. The look on the Fokker pilot's face when it first 'chops' past him 😱. And the moments when Raymond and Biggles re-unite. Nostalgic background score too. Read all the Biggles books I could find in school, 1982-84. We avid boy readers would pass the books between each other and hold conferences in the Prep Room over each books and its characters. Biggles was extremely serious material to us. My personal favourite Biggles novel was The Cruise of the Condor, and his discovery of the little urchin Habblethwaite, whom he nicknames 'Ginger', in 'The Black Peril'. And of course 'Biggles Learns to Fly', my copy of which I bought at a Sunday pavement market in 1990 but only recently discovered was no longer with me. I'd really like to see a grimmer movie treatment of Biggles for there is quite a library of material on him, and a healthy cast of supporting characters. Thank you, Flick Vault!
Oh, the synths of yesteryear. So nostalgic. Made you feel it was a 1980's reenactment of the 1910's.
GREAT movie. I am almost 58 and this is the 1st time i seen this movie. great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
This is indeed a very silly movie, but one with which I have fond memories of watching as a kid at my grandparents house.
I remember this film being filmed , i worked at the world trade centre, at st Katharine's dock at the time ,where some of the filming took place, always remember seeing Peter Cushing in the evenings coming out of Tower Hill tube station ,immaculately dressed all in black ,making his way to st Katharine's dock , fond memories !

I saw this in the mid 80s and having loved back to the future I was hungry for more sci-fi, and surprisingly it is actually a well shot crafted movie- sure it is full of anachronisms but it is a silly time traveling romp...as for the music [you really had to experience the 80s cheese to make sense of it] it was performed by Yes frontman Jon Anderson who went solo.
