The best groove in rap history. Nothing has ever flowed better than this. Everything's on point.
You gave THE appropriate reaction to this song. You gave "stank face," which is KEY to listening to this song! This song sampled Herb Alpert's "Rise", which is a song from the 70s and the funk you hear in it. Pam Long sang the hook, she was one of the girls from the group "Total." Its hard to top this one from Biggie!

I'm not American and let me tell you how much nostalgia I feel hearing these biggie songs, turned out I heard Biggie more than pac growing up. I only knew broken wings from Tupac till a few years ago
I’m an old head from way back. Been listening to hip hop since 1980. You’re probably the only new school reactor (that I’ve seen, anyway) that has brought up DELIVERY. If an MC sounds like he BELIEVES everything he’s spitting, it just makes the song THAT much better. Thank you for doing what you do. Oh, back when these bars were new, this is what was EXPECTED from hip-hop. You had to be better than everyone & everything that came before or, why even be in the game. Seems the industry forgot about that. Again, thank you.
You're the only person I found that appreciates Biggie's bars and songs appropriately and the way I do XD
My favorite rapper in the world
Biggie King 🤴of flow
your appreciation for quality HipHop really shows.
I grew up in the '90's and no one was better than biggie. he was the best. if you like flow and rhymes you might like his song macs and dons.
I was looking through the comments and the love for Biggie is top level. I don’t know if you know, Biggie never wrote anything down. He would look up and then he would say I’m ready. Total spoke on that! He is absolutely one of the GOATS! This album is also certified diamond 💎 Everyone take that in. That’s 10 million sold💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥
That boy flow was too smooth 😤🔥
That face says it all. That jam is funky !!!
The STANK face!’ I knew you appreciated it as soon as soon as I saw your face! ❤
Awww man, that was the jam back in the day. As soon as the beat dropped, hands in the air, out on the dance floor.
This songs Was a number 1 hit in 1997 but I think it was released as a single in late 1996 if I remember correctly. Anyway it was off of life after death which came out just a few weeks after biggie passed. The song is immensely popular so you've proobably heard bits or pieces somewhere
That's Pamela Long From Total singing the chorus.
You really need to listen to the original sample they used. His name is Herb Albert and the song is called "rise". Came out in the 70's.

yes and "Rise" was famously played in the Luke and Laura rape scene in the disco on general hospital ; not sure what that instrument is taht makes that sound
The hook the girls are singing is a take on a line from Slick Rick's La Di Da Di Diddy put his foot in it on this production. Top notch.

I prefer Biggie more because his music sounds better to me, but I love Tupac's content. Btw been binging you're videos and then you dropped some more. Keep up the good work, you're content is good. Destiny's Child Bug-a-boo

I was in my early 20s in the 90s when this came out and for you being young your reaction is everything and appreciate it. And understood real good flows
The sample is from Herb Alpert's song "Rise." Herb is jazz trumpet player. He recorded a song with Janet Jackson in 1987 called "Diamonds." Janet also sung background on his other song "Making Love In The Rain" my favorite Herb Alpert song.

Nah. Diddy was great producer and insane hype man and was in the right place at the right time organizing talent. Besides that, everything he did was wack. He would constantly have like 4 bars in a row end and rhyme them with the exact same word. “Blah blah blah homie / xxxxxx homie / something something homie / blah homie”

Yo!!! I salute you for what you are doing and definitely dig your reviews!!! Keep up the good work!! One quick thought I'd like to share, try to do reviews on other artists, I found a lot of the you tube reactors do videos of the same 4 or 5 rappers primarily...Tupac, Biggie, Jay Z and Nas,...oh and Bone Thug...I'm not knocking it cause yal dont have to react to any of it at all, but you do! I'm just saying this because there are sooooooo many dope mc's and groups to check out instead of hearing more Pac and Big, by now you know what they are about musically, discover some other stuff too.
