I don't think people realized how good Biggie was. He wrote Lil Kims Hardcore, Junior Mafias first album and both of his albums within a 3 year span which is insane.

@@bernabefernandeztouceda7315 i respectfully disagree. That album was a signpost that the golden era of hip hop was over. It had a more clean/commerical sound that would characterise the next decade(s) of hip hop. illmatic, 36 chambers, and ready to die were never topped. If Biggie had lived puffy would have had him in one of those shiny suits and trying to dance like mc hammer.

Puffy made them walk for cheesecake because Andre Harrell had done the same to him in the early 90s. It's something that Puff's ego and stature within the industry just couldn't reconcile so he seemingly projects/projected his own embarrassment onto the up and coming artists who are/were just trying to get a hand up. Those kids should have told Puff to stuff his cheesecake and walked out off the show and then we'd have seen how quickly the TV execs would have begged them to come back!

Exactly. I still think Death Row had it the best out the two, but it gave Puff enough to capitalize off of the beef and death of Pac and Big. I know if Pac and Big talked alone without anyone knowing, the beef could’ve been squashed. The only fact after the death of Pac I didn’t like was Big was talking a lot of shit. If that’s true, then that made Big look like the loser in the end.

"Lying" is a strong word. Most rap labels pushed the image that ceos and rosters were more tight knit than they actually were. Ruff Ryders told us they were "ryde or die". Death Row said they were a "family". Weezy and Bird told us they were "father and son". And this was far from true for all these examples, lol. Its just what rap labels were sold on, the idea of cohesion and camaraderie. This guy is reading too much into it.
