Somewhere in Sweden, someone is feeling the pain of you working on the truck without proper Scania dedicated tools.

He'd better get some metric tools if he wants to work on those Scanias in an efficient manner.
Some gentle advice from an ex Scania Master Tech.: Never open the package of parts you will be using before you need them, lay out the parts that came off in a sequence and THEN open the parts package and lay the new parts out in the same sequence to see a) you have the right parts and b) you got everything out! Those aluminium bushes at the bottom of the air bag were regularly failing as they are right wher teh road crap gets thrown up. I was doing like 3 sets a night when on inspections. You opened all the packages and had loose items mixed up with other loose items which is risky without a parts list to reference. Mind I was the same as a kid at Christmas ... But great to see the Black Beauty being restored to nice condition.

FINALLY some SCANIA -content again from Bruce. And: -Holy shit; that was painful to watch. Can hardly count the times i went: -No-no-no! NOT like that! Spilled my morning coffee too... But Mr Wilson sure is hands down; a hardcore 'do-or die' -mechanic; when it comes to gettin' shit DONE!
I think a shop manual should have been the first thing you ordered from Scana

Well if they only had a travers roof crane, it would be easy to hold the cab up while change those parts right. Now cut them some slack, they obviously don't have the needed tool inventory that you would find at a certified shop.. They are a happy band of brothers having fun on a youtube channel. Whats wrong with that.

It’s called Scania not Scana. Scana used to be the name of our steelworks in my little town in sweden.
Finally! A Scania update, what a long wait that was.
Bruce don't open every little box buddy you're going to end up losing some little part you need make it 👍👍
When you do the cab shocks theres a small "o" ring that sits ontop of the shock before the airbag goes on. DON'T LOOSE IT OR FORGET IT!!

To a scania mechanic this is both a nightmare and hilarious to watch.
Simple easy way to install those sway bearings (or pretty much any bearing) is to put the bearings in a freezer for 15 minutes and heat the bar to uncomfortable to touch temp. The frozen bearings just about drop right in. This process works exceptionally well for changing starter ring gears on flywheels. I would put the flywheel in the freezer for 30 minutes and the ring gear in an oven at 250f.
@vihreelinja4743
25 күн бұрын
i keep them in the freezer overnight if possible. 15 minutes sounds way too short for bearings of that size.
@baltazard133T
24 күн бұрын
Except applying extreme heat to sprung steel parts like the sway bar, springs or anything of the like is about the dumbest thing you can do. You will remove the metals tension memory and it will no longer work properly, good chance if you do this the part will shatter in the future.
@alanrouse7285

@@baltazard133T Never had a failure. Some people that do have a part fail overheated the part, that's why you heat it untill it's UNCOMFORTABLE to touch but not so hot to blister skin. Been doing this for 47 years.

Bruce, please get metric tools. 😅 With love from Finland... 😆
Bruce before get carried away. You are going to have support the cab above all the mounting and brackets your taking off. Slow down and think about for minute.
Done those darn swaybar bushes on the 480 the other day.... it was a mission.. you need to lift the cab and rest it on the chassis deflate the air shocks and remove the whole swaybar.... lucky google and youtube was my friend watching how to do it... still took me couple hours

You should have put all of the lube on the bottom of the bearing housing. Then when you insert the bearing it will push the extra lube out thru the bearing and every crack is filled at the same time.

best to drop all the air from cab air bags then remove them and let cab sit on bump stops . To prevent them bearings drying up again tap a thread and fit a grease nipple so you can keep them greased up

День добрый. Дружище Магирус это тоже сделано в Италии
i want to see you get one these trucks up and doing work with it hauling
My method of (improvised) working on it would be looking how it's all linked to chassis and cab and what parts are carrying the weight of the cab to avoid any collapses and damaged components. I'd bet that the sway bar is part of the tilting mechanism and the cab could have went all sideways and whatnot causing all sorts of trouble. Lucky that didn't happen and it all went successful. Also, keep dust sensitive parts such as bearings and engine parts in their sealed bags until it's time for assembly, it's good practice to do so in order to keep any dust or contaminants away.
The shocks have to stand up to work properly. Just a reminder. Awesome vid as always.
Great job. I'm already looking forward to the next video. Greetings from the Czech Republic

Share this to your friends that has acid reflux and heartburn. Tell them to use 3or2 inches ginger, slice it thinly. Get fresh boiled water pour it to a cup, put the sliced ginger in the cup cover it and leave it on the table for 10minutes then drink it. You can add honey if you want (optional). For best result drink it while it is hot not cold. 3x a day before meal. ✝️🙏🙏🙏

I haven't seen the white Scania in a while
straps and overhead crane is helpful when doing front sway :D but it worked with forklift :D also i would not trust those cabpump lines holding the cab up.
Bruce, please remove the aluminum front bumper from the trucks. The Scanias are prettier without it, you will greatly improve the aerodynamics of the truck, you will lose a little weight, you will lower the fuel consumption and response of the truck.
This project i repeat this project mmm i love this m on my way to help you Bruce
something funny is there is a big chance that i helped to deliver those scania parts because i hade practice work and i have delivered alot of those scania boxes around södertälje

Buenas amigo Hay ke suspender la cabina de la parte delantera y la barra sale sola es un trabajo fácil para el ke conoce ese modelo scania Surte amigo y saludos
Bruce don’t do half ass work like Tim Gentry does. Use a wire brush the inside of that sway bar put some lubricant to keep from rust then your lubricant from Scania. You didn’t even pack that bearing properly. You should hold the bearing in your hand and press lube in it as you move it around in your hand.
Upgrade the back lights to newer original leds
Always a good way to start when you don't have a clue what to do is full steam ahead rip and tare, figure it out later.
This is a great how not to rebuild a Scandia cab video
When you will show us T-cab Scania🙏
You need to get a forklift and lift cab at front a little
What up next month YOU have training video but you'll have not a commercial bus diesel on your Left side by side bus smiling viewing
maybe reed the manual as that should have gone easier. put the bearings in the freezer for a few hours . heat the other end and it goes in easy(er)
When are you going to Tim in England?
I want to see the 730 in this 💪
Adoro questo video ❤, grazie
Need to get a bit of a better set up. With more gear like a jack Press. And some benches. 👍
