Can’t echo this enough! Of all the places in the world, this is one wave I _want_ to hear!

The rescue team is amazing. Three Jet skis arriving at the same time at the perfect moment. No shortage of courage there'

I'm 59 years old, I'm going to learn to surf and go catch those waves in Nazaré , wait for me !! woohoo !!!!

The surfers are crazy! My respect goes to the people who rescue them!

It's pretty amazing to see some of the first 20-40 foot waves look small. Yet only a handful of people in the world would have a chance at surfing any of these.

Superb. The first video to give a true sense of scale to this wave.

We went to Nazare in June in our campervan to see how big these waves can get . . . . it was as flat as a bloody millpond!

These mega-waves (+50 feet) from Nazaré are impossible to catch without a jet because they are very high and very fast.

Even the tow guys are nuts if u ask me but this is awesome. Is this wave year round

Can someone tell me sth about those guys on the jet-skies doing such a helpful job,towing surfers and rescuing them in the aftermath of their performance. Riding those means on the edge of such immense waves looks pretty dangerous to me.Thanks.

Some people will bungee jump . Some will leap from tall buildings or sky dive from a plane. Some will take on nature with all of its force with these massive waves. Some will high dive from incredible heights in to water below. I think the generation of today ( my youngest kids ) will have strong thumbs and won’t even raise a sweat playing the current games being offered . 😂. Times are a changing

I'm sorry... but no matter how many Nazare vids i watch, I just cannot understand this wave... or the fearlessness of mere mortals who ride it!

I was there around 5pm same day rom Porto and eventually missed the such breath taking surfing. I would like to use the first wave clip for 15 to 20 second for my travel video in KZread. Could you please consider to accept!. thanks.

You know.. It's not actually that dangerous. It is dangerous if a wave lands directly on top of you or you get that initial blast when she lands on water... That's where all the force and mass is... And yeah, that can crush you or throw you around like a ragdoll. But other than that, once you know the sea, it gets repetitive and predictable. Then it's just a matter of timing and dodging the danger. Oh and yes... You should be a good swimmer and able to hold your breath for a longgg time

Might be big waves but pretty short rides witch is not to say they don’t have balls the size of dump trucks but didn’t really come across as all that impressive. 👍
